Hi,
Thank you for reading this. This is my own story that I wrote. It took me about two months, but I got through it.

I hope you enjoy reading this!
Chapter 1: Normal Days for Selena
"Eww look at her," someone whispered.
"She looks so ugly," someone else whispered.
These statements are normal for me as I walk down the hallway of RushBrooke Middle School. I hugged my things closer to me as I reach my locker. I'm not really the defination of pretty or beautiful. My name is Selena Gonzales and I am 14 years old. I have only one friend here, and that's Taylor Swiss. She's the defination of pretty, sweet, funny, kind.... All the good traits for a great friend.
"Heyy," Taylor greeted me at my locker. "I like your outfit today."
"Hi and thanks," I replied back.
Taylor is the only person that likes my style of clothes. Obviously, everyone else thinks it's ugly and out of style. I was wearing my favorite aqua plaid shirt and skinny jeans. My style is comfortable, while the other girls are flashy and makeup. I don't wear makeup, neither does Taylor.
"So, how was your day today?" Taylor asked.
"Good, I guess."
"Is Gabriella getting to you again?" Taylor sighed. "Don't let her get to you. She'll just break you down."
"Thanks Tay," I said, but I can't help it. Gabriella Rowan was the most popular girl in the whole school. She had two sidekicks, Ashley Birch and Cassandra Juniper. They were pretty, rich, popular. Anything you were good at, at least one of them could do better.
"Come on, we need to get to class," Taylor said.
I grabbed all my stuff for first hour and walked to Mr. Klein's class together, ignoring the comments behind us.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
Taylor and I took our seats in seventh hour and took our notebooks for the daily journal question.
"Oh, Stefan, you're so funny!" Gabriella's voice cooed.
Gabriella came into the classroom, hugging Stefan Dalton's arm. Cassandra and Ashley walked in behind them.
Stefan laughed. "Thanks."
Then, Stefan spotted me and waved, and started to walk over to me, until Rebekah pulled him over to her
.
"Eek! Stefan waved to you!" Taylor said excitedly to me.
"Nah. He's waving to you," I told her. I didn't want to believe that Elena Jeremes' boyfriend waved to me. She was one of the Gabriella's friends.
"Oh come on. He was definatly waving at you!" Taylor insisted.
"Fine, he was waving at both of us. Good?" I sighed.
"Ooh," Taylor nudged me. "Look at him!"
Taylor pointed to someone at the door, talking to Mr. Klein. It was a boy, with black hair. He was wearing a red plaid shirt and jeans. Next to him, was two other boys, who both had light brown hair. One was wearing a blue shirt while the other wore a brown jacket. They followed Mr. Klein to the front of the classroom.
"Class," Mr. Klein said, "these are new students, Taylor, Justin and Drew."
"He has the same name as you!" I whispered to Tay.
"I know!" She whispered back.
"Hey, I'm Taylor Austin. I just moved here from Pennsylannia. So, yeah," Taylor said to the whole class.
"Hey, I'm Justin Andrews, and I moved here from Montana. I'm aiming to be a singer," Justin introduced.
"And I'm Andrew Parker, but you can call me Drew. I'm a dancer," Drew shrugged.
"Any questions for these boys?" Mr. Klein asked.
Gabriella raised her hand first. "So, Justin. Mind singing for us?"
There was a chrous of yeah and yeses.
"Yeah, sure," Justin beamed.
"Oh just great!" Taylor moaned.
Justin started to sing and got a whole lot of girls' attention. At the end, all of the girls, except for me, Taylor, Liela Lamtim, and Lilly Tran, clapped really loudly.
"He sounds like a girl," Taylor whispered to me.
"I think that you think that because of his high voice for a guy," I told her.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
After the bell rang, Taylor and I got up and walked out of the door, but got stopped by Taylor and Drew.
"Hey girls," they greeted us.
"Hi," we said.
"So, I'm Taylor," Taylor said. "This is Drew."
Taylor burst out laughing. "I'm Taylor too. Taylor Swiss. This is Selena."
Taylor and Taylor laughed and chatted a little. Drew talked to me.
"So Selena huh? That's a pretty name," he said.
"Thanks," I replied. "You said you danced?"
"Yeah, but it's nothing," Drew shrugged.
"I would like to watch you sometime," I said, trying to be nice.
"Really? Well, maybe tomorrow."
"That would be great," I smiled.
"You have a pretty smile."
"Oh, thanks," I blushed. I could feel extreme heat on my cheeks.
"You're welcome," he smiled.
"Well, Taylor, let's get going," Drew said to Taylor A.
"I'll be seeing you two around," Taylor A. said and winked at us.
"Byee," Taylor S. waved. "Aww aren't they just Cuties? Especially that Taylor guy. Drew looked like he was into you!" she squealed after they left.
"Geez, I bet," I said flatly.
"You two would look cute together though," Taylor protested.
"Mm hm."
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
When school let out, I met Tay at her locker.
"Heyy," Taylor greeted me.
"Heyy," I said back.
"So, I just thought of a question! If you put chicks, you know, baby chickens, in the oven, do you get chicken nuggets?" Taylor laughed.
I laughed. "Wow, Taylor. Wow. Maybe you should ask Mr. Klein."
Taylor closed her locker and put on her favorite baby blue beanie hat. We then walked out of the school, and started on our walk home. We were talking about Mr. Klein's lesson from earlier and other things, like how Gabriella made everyone do whatever she wanted.
"Hey, wait up!" a voice shouted at us.
We turned around and saw Stefan and his brother, Klaus, and their friend, Matt Gilbert.
"Hey guys," Taylor smiled.
"H-hi," I stuttered.
"You guys meet the new guys yet?" Matt asked us.
"Yeah, Taylor, Drew and Justin," Taylor responded.
"Same name as you," Stefan smiled.
"It's so weird calling him Taylor when my name is Taylor!"
"I bet," Matt said.
"Selena," Klaus called. "You've been quiet. Anything wrong?"
"Nah, it's nothing," I replied. "Just thinking."
The truth is, I can't stand walking with the most popular boys in the whole school. Why would they be hanging out with a girl that the whole school thinks is a nerd and is ugly?
"Thinking?" Stefan asked.
"Yes, thinking."
Taylor gave me a wink, because she knows. She knows that I have had a crush on Stefan ever since, like the beginning of school this year.
"Well, at least nothing's wrong, right?" Klaus said.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"Ok then."
Taylor could chat with these guys all day. I don't understand how she can do that. Doesn't she feel nervous? Well, I guess not. I mean, she's really pretty and nice so of course people want to hang out with her. Wait, does that mean I'm not nice because no one ever wants to hang out with me... Now I feel lonelier than ever. Do you know how much I want to be like Taylor? Be really nice, pretty, and funny. How I wanted to be that person!
My eyes started to sting as tears started to form. I can't cry! Not in front of the boys! I put my head down and looked at the ground. I made sure that they couldn't see my face in case I do cry.
"Earth to Selene," Stefan said.
"What?" I looked up.
"Did you go to the land of Selene's Daydreaming?" Stefan teased.
He likes calling me Selene, and no one else does. Others sometimes call me Sel, but not Selene. So I take it as a special nickname.
"Sorry, I guess," I said.
"Well, anyways," Stefan continued.
"Anyways what?" I asked.
"Never mind, you weren't listening," Stefan teased again.
"Yeah, I wasn't," I admitted, "But I still have a right to know!"
"Fine, I was talking about the Drew guy."
"What about him?" I asked.
"I wonder if he can sing."
"Then I said that you can sing," Taylor jumped in.
"What?!" I panicked. "I can't sing!"
"You can to."
"No I can't!"
"Can to."
"Cannot!"
"Whatever!" Taylor said.
"You can sing, Taylor," I smirked.
"Wha-?" Taylor said.
"Ooh, if you two can sing, why don't you do it for us right here!" Klaus folded his arms.
"I can't sing! You really don't want to hear me sing!" I warned them.
"If you're horrible, we'll tell you to stop," Stefan told me.
"Fine," Taylor gave up. "No sense in arguing with them, Sel."
"I don't know," I hesitated. "I don't sing in front of people..."
"Oh come on! Just once, please?" Matt asked.
"Oh... FINE! Geez....."
"Yes!" The boys cheered.
Chapter 2: The Day that Will Change My Life Forever for Selena
"Ok, I'm going to sing 'Rolling in the Deep,'" Taylor announced.
"There's a fire,
Starting in my heart...."
Once she finished, the boys started to clap.
"You are good!" Matt smiled.
"Selene was right!" Stefan smiled at me.
"Now it's your turn!" Klaus told me.
"Ugh, fine. What song should I sing?" I asked.
"Hmm, how about 'Hallelujah?'" Taylor answered.
"Fine...
There was a secret chord,
that David played,
that pleased the lord..."
Once I finished, the boys clapped too,
"Geez, I never knew you two could sing!" Klaus said.
"You did great!" Stefan smiled at me.
"You did awesome," Matt smiled at Taylor.
"Thank you!" we said to the three of them.
"But please don't tell Gabriella or anybody that you think we are good at singing because..." I pleaded.
"We won't," Stefan promised.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
I got home and took a shower. I kept thinking about earlier when Tay and I were singing. I couldn't get through that I was good. I thought I was okay, but not good. I pulled my backpack on my bed and got out my homework. I started to work on it, but I kept drifting from equations to the singing. I couldn't stop thinking about it, and how Taylor kept talking like it was nothing and how they keep talking to us when Gabriella thought of us as a nothing. I kept thinking and thinking. I couldn't get anything to come to a conclusion. I worried that one of them will tell the world about it.
"Selena! Some guy named Stefan is here!" My mom yelled from downstairs.
What's Stefan doing here? Where's Elena?
"Hey," I greeted him. "What's up?"
"Hey," Stefan smiled. "Can I come in?"
"Of course, come in."
"Thanks," Stefan said.
He entered my house and we sat in the living room.
"So," I asked.
"I was wondering, are you going to enter Joey Parker's talent show?"
"What? What talent show?" I asked confused.
"Oh geez. I explained it while we were walking home. Oh wait, I forgot. You were in your daydreaming land," Stefan teased.
"Aww come on, plz explain it to me!"
"Fine, Joey Parker, you know, the singer? He's hosting a talent show this Saturday, or should I say, someone to sing or dance with in his new music video," Stefan explained.
"What? Really?" I asked excited.
Joey Parker was a mega cute singer and he was sure dreamy. I heard that Mary Santiago won his other contest a few years ago. Then, I heard last year that Liela Lamtim was dating him! I heard she was a good singer too. I should ask her when I get to school. Hmm, maybe I will enter it, Wait, he said Dancing right? If Drew is good at dancing, I could ask him for help! Hmm, yes! That will work!
"Umm, Selene?" Stefan asked.
"What?" I asked, back to reality,
Tsk Tsk, Stefan shook his head. "You need to stop daydreaming so much!"
"Oh sorry," I said.
"So are you going to enter?"
"I don't know..."
"You'll do great! I heard you sing."
"Well, what would happen if you have a different taste in music than Joey does and Joey hates my singing?"
"He won't."
"How do you know?" I frowned.
"Because I know." Stefan reassured me.
"Ok... Thanks for letting me know about it, and I'll think about it."
"Yep, anytime." Stefan got up and walked off the front porch and gave me a little wave. I noticed something sparkle on his finger and I saw it was a ring. The ring was silver with a blue gem. I'll ask him about the ring later.
Chapter 3: New Dance for Selena
It was Friday afternoon in seventh hour, when Mr. Klein introduced a new project to us. It was for two people so he said he would pick partners. I got paired with Drew. Taylor got paired with Taylor. Stefan got paired with Elena, and Matt got paired with Cassandra.
"Hi," I smiled at him.
"Hi," Drew smiled back. "Do you want to see me dance now?"
"Sure, but after Mr. Klein gives us our assignment and we get sent to the hallway to do it."
Finally we are in the hallway and Drew starts to dance and sing "New Classic" sung by Joey Parker.
Once he was done, I clapped.
"Wow, that was good!" I cheered.
"Thanks."
"You're welcome."
Drew stared at me for a minute and I looked back into his eyes, but when he realized that he were staring, he broke the gaze away.
"Um, so," I started, "Stefan told me that Joey Parker is hosting a talent show thing about singing and dancing. SInce you know how to dance, can you help me with the dancing part?"
Drew had a look of panic on his face for a brief second, maybe I was imagining it. "Sure," he agreed. "So what about the singing part?"
"I got that taken care of," I assured him.
"Then can you sing for me?" Drew asked.
"Yeah sure. Um, I guess I'll sing Mary's part of New Classic. Do you mind singing Joey's part?"
'Um I guess. Sure," Drew said.
So we sang a little bit, but at the end, the door opened and Cassandra walked out and came up to us.
"Heyy," she smiled at us.
"Hi," Drew and I responded.
"Do you guys need help on the worksheet?" Cassandra asked.
"No thanks," I answered, trying not to make it sound cold.
"Ok, because I kinda heard you guys singing, not working."
I froze. Cassandra heard us singing? That was not a good sign.
"Nah, we weren't sin-"
"Yeah, we were and Selena here has a great voice," Drew answered.
I stared at him. If Cassandra knows, she's going to tell Gabriella!
"What is it, Selena?" Cassandra asked.
"Nothing," I mumbled.
"Okay," Cassandra said looking hurt.
"I'm sorry, it's just that, please don't tell Gaabriella!" I pleaded.
"Gabriella?" she cried. "Secretly, she's not cool," she whispered to me.
"What?" I asked confused.
"She's mean, and bossy," Cassandra replied.
"Okay then."
"I really need some new friends though, but Selena, I noticed that people aren't exactly nice to you," Cassandra pointed out.
I turned red. "Um, yeah."
"Selena is a nice person though," Drew said.
"Yes, yes she is," Cassandra smiled.
"Thank you," I smiled.
"So is it okay for us to be friends?" Cassandra asked me.
"Defiantly," I smiled.
"Thanks. I would also like to be friends with Taylor and you too of course," she told Drew.
"Yeah, no problem," Drew replied.
Cassandra walked towards the classroom when I called out, "You know, you're nicer than I thought you were."
"Thanks," she smiled.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
After school ended, I only had three days left to get ready for the show. I asked Drew to help me today, so the three of us, me, Taylor, and Drew were walking to my house. We were talking about the show that Joey was hosting.
"So Drew, do you know what they are looking for?" I asked.
"Yeah, I think so," Drew answered.
We reached my front porch, and then the door opened with Gabriella walking out of it with Ashley, Stefan and Cassandra. Cassandra had her head down, but Gabriella was attached to Stefan like a tick, with Ashley smiling behind them.
I gave Cassandra a look What are you guys doing here? She held up her index finger to indicate to give her a second.
"Well well, if it isn't Selena?" Gabriella said.
When Stefan saw me, he turned red. I then knew something was up.
Gabriella strolled on, leaving Cassandra behind.
"I'll catch up to you guys," Cassandra yelled to them.
"Okay, Cassandra, you better spill," Taylor demanded.
"I'm sorry, I couldn't stop them!" Cassandra cried.
"What is it? What did they do?" I asked.
"I didn't tell them, I swear!"
"Tell them what? Somebody fill me in please?" Taylor asked.
"Cassandra, can you just show me or something?" I asked.
Cassandra lead us to my room, and I was really scared. I was shaking. Taylor held my hand to say I'm right here, and I'll protect you.
When Cassandra opened the door, everyone gasped.
My room was trashed, garbage can was upside down, bits of paper littered the floor. My bed was undone, the blanket all over the floor, with my drawers drooling my clothes. My baby sister's toys were scattered everywhere and my art supplies were just throw everywhere. All of my pillows were ripped open, their stuffing falling out. Scissors laid on the floor and my duct tape pens were uncapped and broken. My flower pots were smashed on the floor, dirt sprinkled everywhere.
We just stared in surprise and anger. Even Cassandra didn't know they made such a big mess.
"Oh my goodness," Taylor said quietly.
I just felt like crying and break down right then. Drew walked in and started to pick things up.
I started to cry in Taylor's shoulder, while Cassandra and Drew helped clean it up. How could they be so cruel and trash my room like this?
"It's okay," Taylor told me quietly, stroking my brown hair. "Come, let's help them out."
The four of us cleaned the room in silence. Ten minutes later, the room was cleaned, but dirt still kind of sprinkled my blue carpet.
"I'm so sorry, Selena. I didn't know they made it so messy," Cassandra apologized.
"Ugh, was Stefan a part of this?" Taylor asked angrily.
"I think so," Cassandra said quietly.
"Well, we got it cleaned up," Drew said.
"I'm going to give them a piece of my mind," Taylor frowned.
"Cassandra, Drew, Tay," I smiled weakly, "thank you."
"No problem," Cassandra told me. "I kinda need to. I wasn't a part of this mess, but they called me over when they first started, so I didn't know it would be so bad."
"Well, they wasted the ten minutes of the dance lessons huh?" Drew pointed out.
"Oh yeah," I remembered.
So, Drew started teaching me the moves to "New Classic."
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
At six o'clock, Tay, Drew and Cassandra left.
"Honey," my mom called. "Gabriella, Ashley and Stefan came earlier. They wanted me to let you know that they came by."
"I know Mom. Can you not let them in again?" I answered.
"Why, Sel?"
"Because they trashed my room," I told her for the millionth time.
"Well, that Cassandra girl sounds nice."
"I sure hope so."
Chapter 4: The Friendship That Will Change Everything for Selena
The few days went by, Drew and I kept practicing, and Taylor started to befriend Taylor A. I started to with Drew. I never really saw Justin around other than class. Finally today was Friday, the day before the show. I avoided Gabriella and her crowd, but she kept crawling to Drew. Since the competition was tomorrow, I performed it at lunch.
"Okay guys!" I announced as I tied my brown hair in a ponytail.
"Ladies and Gentlemen," Drew said, "please welcome Miss Selena Gonzales and Mr. Drew Parker singing and dancing to Joey Parker and Mary Santiago's 'New Classic.'"
"Geez you're good at announcing," Taylor complemented.
"Thanks," Drew smiled.
So, Drew and I got in our places and started dancing and singing for our performance.
At the end, Tay, Taylor A, and Cassandra clapped.
"Wow, that was good," Taylor A. said.
"Thanks," Drew and I replied.
"Wonderful!" Cassandra cheered.
"As usual!" Tay agreed.
"You guys will be great!" they assured us.
Drew and I smiled and sat down next to them. Then Stefan came up to us.
"Hey, mind if I join you guys?" Stefan asked.
"Um, no," I answered, looking at Cassandra, Tay and Drew.
He sat down on the grass, and I remembered my question from Monday.
"Hey, Stefan, where did you get your ring?" I asked.
"Oh this one?" Stefan held up his hand with the ring on it. "From a friend."
"It's really pretty," I said.
"Thanks," Stefan said.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
After the final bell rang, Justin ran up to me.
"Hey, I'm Justin," he smiled.
"Selena," I smiled back.
"You friends with Gabriella?"
"Nah," I answered.
"Why?"
"'Cause," I answered.
"How about Stefan?"
I froze. I never really liked Stefan after the incident at my house. I never thought he'd do such a thing, but...
"Don't know him anymore," I replied.
"Well, just doing a survey about the popular people in this school," Justin told me. "So where's your place at this school?"
"The very bottom," I said flatly.
"Really? I don't believe that," Justin said. "You're really pretty."
"Thanks," I smiled. "Not a lot of people share your opinion."
"Well, I'll see you around." He waved and left.
Chapter 5: The Big Night for Selena
"Stop moving!" Taylor struggled as she did my makeup and hair.
"Sorry," I apologized. "I'm so squirmy!"
"Well, calm down so that I can finish your makeup for you," Taylor said as she put blush on my cheeks.
It was the night of the contest, and I was super nervous, and excited all at the same time, which isn't a very good combination.
"Well, I'm almost done," Taylor smiled, as she checked that my dark brown curls. "Okay, you're finished!"
I opened my eyes. "Wow! I love it, Tay! Thank you so much!"
She had applied black eyeliner which really brought out my dark eyes and had a little blush on my cheeks. I had yellow eyeshadow that went with my shirt. I had a ruffled yellow top with black leggings. Taylor also curled my hair, which made things feel more professional.
"You're welcome!" Taylor smiled. She knew this was a big day for me. "Now get ready, because you're on in ten."
"Thanks again!" I waved as I rushed out the door.
"Good luck! I'll be watching in here!" Taylor called from my dressing room.
I ran through the crowd of tech and other participates. Then I saw Drew.
"Hey!" I smiled.
"Hey," Drew smiled back. "You look beautiful."
"Thanks," I blushed. "You look great too."
Drew was wearing a tuxedo, because he didn't have to kick like I did. He had on a dress hat, and black shoes.
"You excited?" he asked me.
"Of course! Are you?" I asked.
"Yeah, but I've been to a few of these before," he replied.
"I bet," I said.
"Hey, what's up, Drew?" said a voice behind us.
I whirled around and there stood right in front of me was Joey Parker!
"Hey, long time, no see!" Drew smiled to him.
That was when I realized how much Drew and Joey looked alike. They had the same hairstyle and same hair color. They both had on a tux plus the same hat.
"Yeah, so you dancing in the contest? And who's this?" Joey asked.
"This is Selena," Drew smiled, "my dance partner."
"Nice to meet you Selena," Joey said to me. "I'm Joey."
"Nice to meet you too," I managed to say.
"So good luck to you guys," Joey waved and walked away.
"Hey, Drew," I asked, "are you related to Joey?"
"Why?" Drew asked.
"Because you two look alike," I replied, watching Joey move past some contestants. "You two could be twins!"
"Well," Drew turned a bit red. "We kinda are...."
"You are?!" I exclaimed.
"Yeah..." Drew admitted. "But please don't tell anyone!"
"I won't," I promised. "Except for Taylor and Cassandra. I can't keep anything from them."
"Go ahead and tell them," Drew replied. "They're fine with me as long as they keep the secret too."
"Thank you so much!" I smiled.
"Yep."
I swear. Drew was one of the nicest people on Earth!
Then I heard the MC announce the start of the show. "Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome and thank you for coming! You guys ready for some dancing and singing?!"
The crowd cheered, "YEAHH!!!!!!!!!"
And the first act went up.
Then the second act.
And so on and so forth.
Drew and I were the last ones, so I got more nervous by the second! They were all good, except for one were Bre and Brit Blatt went up and danced. They were doing so weird robot moves... and trying to do Gangnam Style...
Finally, it was our turn. My heart was pounding in my chest as I walked up the stage, and my stomach was full of butterflies!
"Last act we have, is Miss Selena Gonzales and Mr. Drew Parker singing and dancing to 'New Classic' by Joey Parker and Mary Santiago!"
The music came on and Drew was acting completely normal! Like, we are up in front of the entire country dancing and singing, but you acting like it's completely normal?! I'm here shaking like a wet dog!
Once I started to dance and sing, it felt just like performing for Taylor and Cassandra! Of course the hooting and hollering makes it feel pressuring but it wasn't that bad.
The song came to a stop, and everything went completely as planned (except for my shaking of course). We got a lot of clapping and standing up. I smiled bigger. I never felt this way before, everyone cheering and liking me...
When we got offstage, I was immediately hugged by Cassandra and Taylor.
"Oh my goodness! That was awesome!" Taylor screamed.
"You guys did so well!" Cassandra smiled.
"Thanks!" Drew and I thanked.
"We'll be having a break for the judges to decide who the person or people are to be in Joey Parker's next video!" MC announced.
"Oh my goodness," I breathed.
"It's okay, it's over," Drew told me.
"I know!" I said.
"You guys must be thirsty doing all that awesomeness," Taylor said, and she and Cassandra went to get us water.
"Well, you do great," Drew smiled.
"Thank you. You did great too," I smiled back.
We walked back towards his dressing room.
"Well, let's hope we win," Drew winked.
"Yep," I smiled. I couldn't stop smiling.
Then, Drew leaned in and kissed me, and I was taken in by surprise. I kissed him back anyways, and that was when I finally had butterflies about someone.
Drew backed away, smiled, and said, "I'll see you in five."
I just stood stunned and watched him walk into his dressing room. My first kiss was with a pop star's twin... How does that sound?
I couldn't move for what felt like a long time, but then everything was moving again, and I ran over to find Taylor and Cassandra. When I found them, they were in my dressing room talking about stuff and getting water at the same time.
"Geez, what's taking you guys so long?" I teased.
"Oh, whoops! Sorry!" Taylor said, handing me a water bottle.
"It's okay," I laughed. "I was just teasing."
"Where's Drew?" Cassandra asked.
"Woah, whoa, whoa," Taylor stopped. "What happened?" she asked because when Cassandra said Drew's name, I smiled really big.
"Ohh, nothing..." I said in a sing-song voice.
"Oh something did happen!" Cassandra said excitedly.
"I didn't just get my first kiss," I smiled.
"What?!" Taylor exclaimed.
"You guys kissed?!" Cassandra shouted.
"Yeah...." I smiled even bigger.
"OMG!!" they shouted.
"Okay, guys," I said. "It's not such a big deal."
"Oh yes it is!" Cassandra said excitedly.
"It's your FIRST kiss!" Taylor exclaimed.
"Yeah, and do you know what else?" I asked. "Drew and Joey are twins! But don't tell anyone!" I whispered.
"What?! No way!" they exclaimed. "And we won't! Our lips are sealed."
There was a knock on the door, and I opened it. It was Drew...or was it Joey??
"Hey, Selena," and I knew that was Joey. "You did great tonight."
"Thanks Joey," I smiled.
"No problem," Joey smiled back. "Hey," he greeted my friends.
"OMG I think I'm gonna die!" Cassandra said. "I'm Cassandra."
"I'm Taylor! I'm Selena's BFF!" Taylor said proudly.
"Nice meeting you guys, Taylor and Cassandra," Joey smiled. "I'll see you later," he nodded at me.
There was another knock at the door, and Drew stood there.
"Wait!" Taylor shouted. "You two stand next to each other," she said as she pushed Drew and Joey together.
"OMG they do look like twins!" Cassandra said.
Taylor and Cassandra stood there with awe as Joey, Drew and I looked at each other and smiled.
"Anyways, the results should be up soon," Joey announced.
"Who won?" Taylor asked excitedly.
"Not telling," Joey teased. "It's a secret and you guys will have to wait," Joey smiled and left.
Chapter 6: The Results of the Contest for Selena
"Well, I hope you win!" Taylor said hopefully to Drew and me.
"Well, wish us luck!" Drew said taking me out the door.
"Good luck!" Tay and Cassandra called out, with their eyes glued to the TV.
I followed Drew to the backstage area. The MC was already onstage. It was time to announce the winner of the contest.
"Ladies and Gentlemen! May I have your attention up here please?" the MC announced. "It's time to announce the winning act! We hope you had a lot of fun tonight! Now here's Joey Parker, to announce the winner! Please welcome, Mr. Joey Parker!"
"Hey guys!" Joey said to the crowd. He was greeted by a lot of screaming girls. "Are you guys ready to know who the winner of tonight's contest is?!"
My heart pounded against my chest. Drew reached for my hand as we listened to Joey.
"Well, I had a great time judging these acts, and they were all incredible! But there can only be one act that is the winner, and I have the winner's name in this envelope," Joey continued holding up a small white envelope. "Tonight's winner or winners are........."
I hugged Drew and held the grip on his hand tighter and closed my eyes. The room was silent and everyone was eager to know who the winner was, like a child that wanted a new toy.
"............Oh my god! It's Selena and Drew!" he shouted.
"What?!" I lifted my head from Drew's shoulder.
"We won!" Drew shouted. He held my hand and lead me up onstage.
"Oh my god!" I whispered.
The crowd was going crazy, bouncing up and down in their seats and screaming.
Some judges were coming up and one gave me flowers! I was crying. I couldn't help it. How can I not? This is one of the most special days of my life!
"Thank you so much!" I cried.
"So, how do you guys feel?" Joey smiled at me and Drew.
"Oh my god, I don't know," I laughed into the microphone. "Really excited and happy."
"Yeah, and it's even better when I'm dancing with a real good friend of mine," Drew smiled at me.
"Well, congratulations to you two!" Joey said, and everyone started clapping. Drew, Joey and I walked offstage together to be ambushed by Cassandra and Taylor.
"OMG!" they screamed as they hugged me.
"I know," I cried.
"Aw, don't cry," Taylor said. "You're going to mess up your makeup. Plus I'm already crying," Taylor pouted, wiping a tear off her cheek.
"I can't help it," I smiled. "I'm so happy!"
"I'll be right back," Taylor said, pulling Cassandra with her.
"Well, congratulations, Drew and you too, Selena," Joey congratulated.
"Thank you," I said.
"You're welcome," Joey smiled as he wiped a tear off my face. "Well, I'll be seeing you guys here, somewhere next week to talk about the new video and stuff."
"Okay, bye," I waved as he walked off.
"Well, it's been a night huh? Well, I'm going home. I'll see you Monday," Drew said and left too.
Geez, what's wrong with him? I walked to my dressing room and saw Taylor and Cassandra, and we packed up and went home for the night.
Chapter 7: Nothing's Ever Going To Be The Same for Selena
When I got back to school on Monday, my mom dropped me off, and I was instantly crowded by people.
"OMG, Selena! Over here, beautiful!" a boy named Skylar called out to me.
What in the world? When was I beautiful to Skylar? All he did to me was call me ugly trash...
You know, fame isn't a wonderful thing. Everyone wants to be your friend, and suddenly, everyone is extremely nice to you. It won't be long until they get back to normal, hopefully...
I fought through the crowd to find Taylor and Cassandra in our usual meeting spot. When I caught sight of it, Gabriella was there, waiting for me, obviously.
I pulled out my iPhone, and sent a text to Tay and Cassandra, "We got a problem..."
"We noticed," Tay responded.
"Where shall we meet then?" 'Sandra's reply.
"...How about in Mr. Klein's room?" Tay.
"Sure, see you guys there!" I texted, and tried to lose the crowd, but a few people spotted me and shouted,"THERE'S SELENA!" and ran towards me. I panicked and ran towards the restrooms.
"Geez, can't a girl do her business?!" I yelled.
I waited until the crowd died down and waited until it was quiet and I creeped out across the room to Mr. Klein's room. I knocked on the door and Tay and 'Sandra opened the door.
"Come in," Taylor said, and I walked in.
"Mr. Klein let us talk without getting bombarded," Taylor explained.
"That's why his the best teacher ever!" Cassandra said loudly and we laughed.
"Hey, where's Drew?" Taylor asked me.
"I don't know," I replied. "How should I know?"
"Because," Taylor and Cassandra looked at each other.
"We aren't going out," I fold my arms across my chest.
"Whatever," Cassandra and Taylor smiled.
"Hey! What about Taylor?" I asked Taylor.
"What about me?" she asked confused.
"No! About Taylor Austin, silly!" I laughed.
"Ohhhh!" Taylor laughed. "Nothing, really."
"Umm hm," I nodded teasingly.
"I'm serious!" Taylor argued.
"Whatever you say."
"It's a new classsic," my iPhone rang.
"Yep, nothing going on between you and Drew," Cassandra eyed my phone.
I rolled my eyes and answered the phone. "Hello?"
"Hey," came the voice on the other line. "Where are you?"
"Klein's," I responded.
"Okay, mind if I meet you there?" Drew asked. "There isn't anyone else is there?"
"No," I answered.
"Okay, I'll see you in a few." I could hear his smile.
"Bye," and I hung up.
"Totally not have a crush on him," Taylor teased.
"I don't!" I argued.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
After the final bell rang, indicating the end of the day, Drew, Taylor and I were walking home.
"Hey, Selena! Wait up!" Stefan's voice came from behind us.
Ugh, Stefan.
"Hey, I watched your performance on Friday night," he said.
"Great," I replied.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Stefan asked.
"Nothing, you don't have to worry about me Stefan," I whirled around and said.
Stefan looked taken back. "Geez, what's wrong with you?"
"Sorry," I said, and closed my eyes.
"It's okay," Stefan replied. "So, uh... Do you want to go out with me?"
Drew and Taylor froze. They watched my reactions, but Drew, looked hard at Stefan.
"Umm," I started. "What about Elena?!"
"She's not as pretty as you," he smiled.
I was taken by surprise, as I jerked my head back. "Woah," I said. "Sorry, but no!"
Drew smiled for a brief second, and so did Taylor.
"Why not?!" Stefan demanded. "You had a crush on me ever since like, fifth grade!"
"How did you know that?" I asked.
"Oh, uh," Stefan's pale face turned bright red. "That's not the point!"
"Geez, Stefan," I shook my head. "I didn't know that you were so full of yourself."
"Elena doesn't love me okay?!" Stefan yelled at us. "She likes Klaus," Stefan said sadly.
"Well, I'm sorry, but I don't want to be with you," I replied. Because of Gabriella...and what you did to me, I thought in my head.
"What?! Are you still going after what happened weeks ago? Seriously, I didn't do it!" Stefan said angrily.
"What?! Are you reading my mind?!" I yelled at him.
"No," he replied quickly. "I just know."
"Whatever," I said and turned my back on him, and I walked away, leaving a opened mouth Stefan.
"Wow," Taylor said. "Good job back there!"
"Ugh, I still can't believe him."
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
I got home and took a shower and put on a clean pink V-Neck shirt and a short pink, blue and red mix skirt. I put on my flip flops and walked outside. I sat down under my favorite cherry tree in my yard and opened my book. I started to read. I read until someone came up to me. I looked up and saw Drew looking down at me.
"Hey, whatcha reading?" he smiled.
"Save Me," I replied as I showed him what book I was reading.
"So, uh would you like to come over to my house?" he asked.
"Sure."
When we arrived at Drew's house, I couldn't believe my eyes! Drew's house was huge, like a mansion! Well, what do I expect? He's probably rich because of Joey. Well, Drew's house was red bricks and the roof was white. It had two stories, but it had a big gate at the front. Drew drove in and opened the door for me. I stepped out.
"Wow," I said amazed.
Drew just smiled and lead me inside. Inside the Parkers' house, it was way more beautiful than on the outside. There were golden chandeliers on the white ceiling lighting up the house, white stairs that lead upstairs, and wooden doors. Drew just smiled at me as I look at my surroundings in awe. Drew walked upstairs to the room that he shared with Joey. When we came in, Joey was writing a song.
"Oh, hey, Selena," Joey smiled when he noticed I was there.
"Hey," I smiled back. I noticed that they have similar smiles. Of course they were twins but, still. "What are you writing?"
"A new song," he replied. "Drew's good at song writing, not me."
"Oh fine. Let me help," Drew said. He started to scribble down words and in about thirty seconds, "Done!"
"Wow, that was fast!" I was impressed.
"So, let's try it," Joey said and picked up his guitar and started to strum some notes. "Ready to hear it?"
"Yes!" I replied excitedly.
"So, it's called, Dance With Me," Joey started.
Once he finished, I smiled and clapped. "Yay! Geez, Drew, you're a great songwriter!"
"Oh, thanks," Drew smiled. "I have my inspirations."
"Oh," I smiled.
"Yeah." Then, I realized that song was about me...
"Well," Joey said, "it's a good song. I like it. Thanks, Bro."
"Yeah, no problem."
Suddenly, I heard multiple things hammering on the roof. I looked out the window and it was raining! Hard!!
"Oh snap! It's raining," I frowned.
"Oh, well, do you wanna stay here?" Drew asked.
"Sure, just one second," and I sent my mom a text that I was over at Drew's.
"Okay, she said I can."
"Good," Drew said. "Well, so about the video..."
"Oh yeah! So this is the song?" Joey asked.
"Yup, I think so."
"So am I the girl who dances with you and stuff?" I asked.
"Yup."
"All right. We better get started then," Drew said.
Joey and Drew went to the dance room, and Joey started to try some dance moves and so did Drew.
"Hey! I got an idea. Selena, over here please," Joey called to me.
"Okay," I went over to him and he showed me some dance moves.
"Now, tell me what you think of this," Joey said to Drew.
Drew started to sing and we started dancing. After the first verse and the dance, Joey stopped and Drew was watching.
"I think that was good," Drew nodded.
"Okay, let me think of the other steps," Joey said.
So we worked on what is going to happen in the video and the choreography.
We finished the song's dance and what's going to happen and stuff.
"Okay, so we ready to film now?" I asked Joey.
"Yeah, I think so."
"Okay."
I looked out the window. It was still pouring, but not as hard anymore.
"I'll take you home," Joey offered.
"Or I can," Drew offered.
"It doesn't matter. I'll walk," I told them.
"Nah, I'll take you," Drew protested.
"Fine, let's go," I said.
Chapter 8: Big Surprise for Drew
I walked down the sidewalk with Selena and an umbrella in hand. Her soft, brown curls blew around with the wind. I can't believe that she was once called "ugly" or "trash" because, well, she was a really sweet and beautiful girl. She's nice, and kind. She's generous, and respectful. She is helpful... I can say so many good things about her... Unlike some people I know. Examples? Gabriella Rowan. That girl is such a wanna-be.
"So, what else are you good at? Other than songwriting I mean," Selena's voice asked and flew me back to reality.
"Oh, uh," I shrugged, "I don't know..."
"Oh, well, I think you're good at songwriting, singing, and dancing," she said smiling at me.
"Oh, well, thanks," I managed to say, and smiled. I was having a real hard time talking to her...
"You're welcome."
Something about her smile makes me have butterflies in my stomach as they say. I don't know what it is, but ever since I danced with her at Joey's competition, she started to make me nervous, make me have thoughts that I never had thoughts about before... When I wrote "Dance With Me," I was thinking of her and how we danced that night. How I feel that I need to impress her... There's just something I don't know how to explain.
So, if you didn't know already, I'm Drew Parker, and I have a twin brother named Joey Parker and he's a major pop star. We're identical, but no one ever asks me about that, fortunately. Joey's older than me by five minutes... though he knows a lot of things because sometimes he goes on tour and stuff...
We finally came to the front of her house, and it wasn't really raining anymore. I closed the umbrella and she smiled at me again.
"Thanks for taking me home," she said to me.
"No problem," I replied, and then I realized how stupid that sounded. Ugh dumb Drew! Dumb!
"So, I'll see you tomorrow then."
"Yeah, see you later."
Selena walked to her front porch and went inside.
While I walked back to my house, I asked myself, Why do I feel this way around Selena? I mean she's Selena, your friend. Not anything else, so why do I feel this way? What does this all mean?!
I went inside the house I am sharing with Joey. I walked upstairs to his bedroom, and knocked.
"Hey, can I come in?"
"Yeah, come on in," came Joey's voice from inside.
I walked inside, and sat down on his chair.
"Hey, what's up?" he asked.
"What do you think about Selena?" I asked, and I cringed at her name.
"What do I think? Well, she's nice and I like her," he shrugged.
"What does it feel like to fall in love with someone?" the question shoot right out of my mouth. I thought he would know because of Mary.
"Why? What's wrong?" Joey eyed me curiously.
"I was just wondering," I said cautiously before anything else spills from my mouth. "Well, I mean, I thought you would know because you were with Mary and stuff..."
"Well, at first, I got butterflies, because I wanted to make sure I impress her... You know, you will notice nervousness and stuff like that. Your heart beating fast when you are around them. You can't stop thinking about them... I mean this is all the stuff happened to me while I was dating her," Joey said.
"Oh..." Then does that mean.... "Does this mean that I love Selena?"
Joey froze. "Did you just say you like Selena?"
"I think so...I mean, she makes me feel like I'm in space and floating on clouds and stuff... She makes me feel special..."
"Yep, my twin brother is in love with his dance partner."
"Well, what should I do?" I asked him.
"Well, Mary liked it when I sang her songs about her. So did Liela. I mean, I guess you can tell her how you feel, but I don't recommend that right away. Do what you think is right," Joey shrugged.
What do I do? Should I tell her how I feel? I mean, what would happen if she doesn't feel the same way? Wouldn't it be awkward for me to ask my dance partner slash friend out? I asked myself. I guess I'll have to wait for the right moment.
Chapter 9: School for Joey
Drew was in shock when I told him I was attending his school today, like, I'm the same age as you, I need an education too!
I may be a big pop star, and all, but I still am his brother. We don't act like twins, but we are...
I put in all my new pencils and erasers and other supplies I thought I might need.
"So you're a new student in my school?" Drew asked.
"Yep!" I said.
"What in the world?!" he yelled.
"Geez, I need an education too, you know," I glared at him.
"Don't you think that the fans will... you know, crowd you?"
"Yeah, but it will be just like that one school I went to where I met Mary," I replied. Mary was this girl I met and I went out with. She was pretty and all, but we broke up months ago. Now, Drew's in love with the new dancer, Selena Gonzales. She was really beautiful this time. She's nice and a great dancer. The problem with this, is that I think I like her too... I can't admit this to Drew! It would hurt him, and make him lose his hope to get her as his girlfriend.
"Whatever," he said and left with his books and other items. I rushed and followed him out the door.
"Geez Drew, wait up!" I yelled.
He just kept going and then I spotted Selena walking across the street.
"Yo Selena!" I yelled and ran over to her.
"Oh, hey!" she smiled. "Where are you going?"
"School, duh," I smiled back.
"You're going to school?" she asked. "Well, good for you! Even pop stars need education."
I looked over to where Drew was and saw that he had his head down and I saw his eyes were filled with anger. Geez, I'm not flirtin' with her! Geez...
"What's Drew doing over there? Drew!" she called. "Drew, why are you over there? Come walk with me."
He obviously obeyed. He came over.
"Hi," he said flatly.
"Hey, what's wrong, Drew?" Selena asked.
"Nothing," he replied.
Selena frowned. "Okay...then..."
"He's just in a bad mood, that's all," I shrugged.

We walked and we got to the school. Rushbrooke High School huh?
"I'm going to go to the office," I told Selena and Drew.
"I'll see you guys later," Drew mumbled and walked on.
"Joey, what's wrong with him?" Selena asked.
"I'm not sure, but can you go cheer him up?" I asked. "You always cheer him up anyways."
"Okay, and I'll see you later then," she waved.
I walked into the office and the secretary did all the paperwork and stuff.
"So are you related to Drew Parker?" she asked.
"Yes, actually. He's my.....cousin." I lied.
"Ah. Would you like it for him to come and show you around the school?" Ms. Nelson asked.
"Uh, no thanks. Can it be Selena Gonzales? I met her on set of a show," I said quickly.
"Um, sure."
"Thanks."
"Just want while I call her down."
I sat down in one of the chairs and looked through my classes. I hope I have classes with Selena, and not many with Drew.
Chapter 10: New Kid for Selena
Something's bothering him. I know it. I ran up to catch up with him.
"Drew, what's wrong?" I asked.
"None of your business so leave me alone!" he snapped.
I was taken back. He never talked like this to me before! I stood there frozen. Something was defiantly wrong.
"Sorry," he sighed.
"I-Its' okay..." I replied.
"No it's not. I'm sorry. I'm just..."
"Just what? You can tell me, Drew."
"No," he shook his head. "I-I'm fine...Just stressed out I guess." I saw the friendliness in his eyes again.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes. Yes I'm sure."
"Okay," I blinked.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
Class had started in first hour.
"Hey, Selena!" Taylor greeted me.
"Hi, Tay," I smiled.
"Anything with Drew?" she asked.
"Oh stop it!" I said. "He doesn't like me like that, and neither do I."
"Umm hmm."
I gave her a pouty face glare and then we burst out laughing.
"Selena," Mr. Klein called to me. "You're wanted in the office."
I frowned, but then I remembered Joey.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
When I reached the office, Joey was sitting in a chair.
"Ms. Gonzales, please escort Mr. Parker around the school and show him around. Remember, don't let any fans get to him, even though I'm having announcements on that."
"Yes, Ma'am," I said. "Let's go," I said to Joey.
I showed Joey around and it turned out that we shared first hour, forth, lunch and eighth hour together!
"Well, shall we go to Mr. Klein's class now?" I asked. "Mr. Klein's my favorite, just saying."
When we got into Mr. Klein's room, everyone looked at me and Joey. Then they looked over to where Drew was sitting.
"Class, this is Joey Parker, our new student," Mr. Klein announced.
The class started to go crazy, pushing me over and Drew caught me.
"Thanks," I said through the screaming.
We went over our desk and everyone was still screaming over Joey.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
Joey, Drew, Taylor, Cassandra and I were walking home from school.
"Oh my gosh they're still stalking us!" Cassandra exclaimed looking behind us.
Okay, let's change the first sentence. We were running home.
Taylor went over to them and yelled, "YOU GUYS BETTER SCATTER BEFORE I CALL THE COPS!!!!!!!!!!!"
They scattered.
"Geez, Taylor!" I laughed.
When we reached Joey and Drew's house, we went inside because today was the day we were going to start filming the music video.
"Hello, Mr. and Mr. Parker, Ms. Gonzales," Joey's manager, Dustin, greeted us.
"Hey, Dustin! What's up, man?" Joey smiled.
Dustin wasn't only Joey's manager, but his best friend.
"So Angie wants to make a kissing scene with Selena," Dustin said to Joey and everyone looked at me. Drew cringed for some reason and so did Joey.
"Okay..."
"Um, how many times do I have to kiss him? Just wondering..." I asked.
"Um, five or fewer times..." Dustin shrugged.
"FIVE TIMES?!" Taylor shouted. "Geez, isn't the song about DANCING?"
"Don't ask me. I'm not the man in charge," Dustin shrugged.
"What in the world?!" Taylor shouted.
"Geez, it's fine, Taylor," I said.
"Nuh uh," Taylor argued. "I'm not having my best friend kissing on set five times!"
"Fine, whatever!" Dustin threw his hands up in the air. "We're just filming! Geez..."
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
We got straight to makeup and clothes. Other tech staff set up the set... They had me wear a white ruffled dress that went to my knees and black leggings. Taylor did my makeup and everything. Cassandra just stood and gave her opinion.
"You look beautiful," Drew told me when I walked out of the bathroom.
"Thanks," I said and blushed.
"Hey," Dustin called to me. "Angie just called and said that Drew is going to be part of the video."
"Oh, well, who is he going to play as?"
"Joey," he replied. "Since they look alike, no one will notice."
"Yeah, I'll do it," Drew nodded slowly.
I relaxed a bit because we kissed before, so I kinda knew what to expect.
Taylor frowned. "Well, let's get filming so that we can get this over with."
We got lead to the dance room since the music video was going to be in there. Joey was already there talking to someone with their blonde hair in a ponytail and a blue dress. Joey was wearing a white shirt and black pants.
"Hey," Joey greeted us as we came up to them. "Selena, Taylor and Cassandra, this is Angie. She's the person in charge of the music video."
"Hi," I smiled.
Angie looked at my outfit and makeup and frowned. "Who did this make up and chose this outfit?"
"Um, I did makeup..." Taylor spoke up.
"It's horrible. Do it over."
"Um, it's fine, Angie," Joey said.
"Fine, it's not my music video," she muttered and walked off.
"Her makeup's fine, right?" Taylor asked, worried.
"It's great, Tay," I said.
Dustin, Joey, Drew, and Cassandra nodded along with me.
"She just doesn't know what she's talking about," Cassandra said helpfully.
Taylor was still upset, even after everyone said that it's okay and that Angie just didn't have any sense of style and stuff.
Then, we started to film and everyone took their places.
Chapter 11: Dancing With The Girl of His Dreams for Drew
When Dustin told us that Joey was needed for certain parts where we needed two Joey's, I knew that meant me. Which also means that I will get to dance with Selena again, which also means that we will have to kiss again. That was kinda the problem. I don't know if it's just me being nervous, or was it because I didn't know if Selena liked me the same way. I took a risk at the dance competition and kissed her, and I think she did kiss me back. That doesn't explain anything right? Maybe she kissed me back just because. Or maybe because she likes me... No. I can't think like this. I don't know the facts. If I'm wrong, I'll just get really discouraged. Then there goes Angie saying Selena looks ugly. Like what in the world? Selena looked beautiful, calling her ugly. Taylor is great at makeup!
Anyways, we took the first day of film, and we did well, at least in my opinion.
"That was so much fun!" Selena cheered as we left the set for her and her friends to leave for the night.
"Well, I'm glad you had fun!" I said. "It's kind of the point."
"I'll see you tomorrow then," she smiled.
"Bye," I smiled back and closed the door behind her.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
It is Day Two for filming the music video and Selena was spending the night because we were going until nine P.M.
When we got onto set today, Angie was yelling at the other dancers for not doing things right yesterday.
"And you! You messed up the whole scene!" Angie yelled pointing at another dancer.
"Angie, Angie, calm down," Joey said. "We can fix it up today."
"We are supposed to be done with this in a week, Joey. We need to get everything done now!" Angie told him. "PLACES!!! PLACES EVERYONE! NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Selena and I were dancing in this scene together while Joey sings on the stage. We got in our places and the music started up. We danced just like in practices for the competition. Suddenly, it came to the kissing scene and Selena does the acting perfectly. We start to dance with my hands on her waist and her arms wrapped around my neck and then, we kiss. As soon as our lips touched, Angie yelled, "CUT!!!!"
Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at Angie near the camera and lighting. This was the tenth time she called cut.
"YOU!" she pointed at the dancer behind Selena and me. "You are doing the dance all wrong! That's the chorus! Not the verse! Don't you all know how to do all this? You all are clueless aren't you. NO MESSUPS!!! Or else we will be doing the same scene over and over!"
I looked at Selena and she rolled her eyes. Geez, she mouthed to me.
I know, I mouthed back.
When Angie got finished with her yelling, we had to start the dance change again, and we came to the kiss, when Angie yelled, "OH MY GOD! CUT!!!"
Everyone groaned, because it was the eleventh time we cut the video.
"There's a spider on the floor," Angie frowned. "If the audience sees it, it will ruin the whole thing!"
"Eek!" some girls shrieked, and started to panic because they were scared of spiders I guess.
Then, the camera man went over and stepped on it, making the everyone wanting to stay away from that spot.
"Ugh, Angie," Joey groaned. "You know we can just edit these things out. This is like the tenth time we cut this scene."
Angie frowned. "Fine. Start it at the dance change."
We started the dance change again and finally got through it this time. When it got to the kiss, I was scared that Angie was going to stop us again, but our lips touched and it went perfect. I don't know if it was just Selena acting or if it was for real. Once the kiss was over, we had to stare in each others eyes and look like we were in love and having the best time of our life. That was easy for me because, I do love Selena and I was having a lot of fun because I love dancing with her. After that, we had to go to Marshcorn Beach to film the other parts of the video. I felt a pin of jealousy, not that I would admit it, but wouldn't you hate it if your sibling was kissing the person you like? Not to be selfish or anything, but when you like someone, you're kinda protective of them. That's kinda how I feel about Selena.
We reached the beach and unpacked the equipment. The sun was setting which gave the perfect touch and scene to film.
When we got on the beach, Selena had to change into this white, simple, skinny strapped dress that reached her knees. She ran onto the sand and started to twirl around on the sand in her bare feet, Taylor and Cassandra trailing behind her.
"She looks just like an angel, doesn't she?" I asked Joey. He nodded.
Selena ran over to us. "This beach is beautiful! Come on," she said pulling on our arms.
"Nah," Joey replied. "No thanks."
I shrugged and ran after Selena. We splashed water at each other and ran in the sand chasing each other. Nothing mattered at that moment but Selena. Her brown hair racing after her and wiped around in the wind.
"Hey! You two better come back here before the sun sets all the way!" Angie yelled at us.
We grinned at each other and raced back to Angie and the others.
"We're going to start filming," she said looking at Selena's dress in disgust, which I have no idea why because it wasn't even dirty even though we were splashing each other.
Selena and Joey took their places, and when the camera started to roll, they were dancing and I pretended that I was someone else looking at Selena and me. Us dancing. Us smiling at each other. Just her and me. Selena and I at the beach together and having the best time we ever had in such a long time. Us together in the land of dreams.
Chapter 12: Completion for Joey
Selena and Drew were playing on the beach together, and no I wasn't jealous. Fine, I kinda was. But it wasn't my fault because I didn't want to mess up Drew's feelings for her. Selena looked beautiful and angelic in her white dress. I couldn't wait to get started on the video because it would be with her. Dancing with her, and finally kissing her. The thought of kissing her made my stomach get butterflies and made me nervous all of a sudden. Nothing could ever beat her beauty, and she was even more special than Mary. Selena made me nervous all over, but Mary didn't that much. Her dancing skills didn't match up with Selena's. Selena was a better singer, dancer and actress...
"Come on Joey," Selena called. "Let's get into our places."
I quickly went over to her and got into the position required for the shoot. The music started up and we danced together. Just like what Drew did earlier with her. We got closer and her smile made me melt inside. I started to forget the steps but I started to get it again. I fell into the steps and focused on the act again. Selena does everything perfectly. Her smile gets me distracted from what I am supposed to do. She gets closer and her soft lips touched mine. We stood there in the sunset and just continued kissing until Angie tells us to stop. At least, that was the plan...
I placed my hands on her waist and hold her close while she runs her hands through my hair. I deepened my kiss because I couldn't help it. I loved her and I moved my hands up and cupped her face in between them. We stood there kissing for what felt like seconds until Drew comes over and breaks us apart.
"Geez you guys can stop kissing now," he said angrily.
"Angie was supposed to tell us when they stop the camera," I protested.
"Whatever," he stormed away.
"If we're done, I'm going to go change," Selena said, and excused herself so that she could go change.
~Selena~
"You did good, Sel!" Taylor told me.
"Thanks," I smiled at her and Cassandra.
"Now, let's see," Taylor smiled playfully. "You've kissed Drew twice and Joey once! How was that?"
"Taylor!" I said. "Geez, but...he deepened it!"
"OMG! He likes you too!" Cassandra laughed.
"A pair of twins like one girl. Romantic!" Taylor squealed.
"Oh stop it you guys. I'm pretty sure they are just doing the shoot and doing what they're supposed to be doing," I protested.
"Whatever you say," Taylor said in a sing-song voice.
~Back to Joey~
It was Wednesday, and we were done with the shoot. We all had a little party in the dance room.
Drinks, food, and tons of cheering and laughing. I was looking through the crowd for Selena. I finally spotted her near the punch table, talking and laughing with Drew. She was looking as beautiful as ever. She wore a red dress that came down to her knees and silver jewelry.
"Hey, Beautiful," I greeted her as I came up to her and Drew.
"Oh, thanks," she blushed.
"You're welcome."
"Well, I'll leave you two to talk," I said and left those two behind.
Then, I saw a figure walk in with blonde crimped hair and a blue dress.
"She's over by the drinks," I told her.
"Thanks," Taylor said and walked towards Selena.
I really want to talk to Selena. Drew is always by her and he's always so nervous. He should just spit it out that he loves her and get that part off his chest.
"Hey, Joey," a voice from behind me greeted.
I turned around and was instantly kissed by someone. I pulled away and I was face to face with someone I instantly remembered.
"Oh, Natalia!" I said nervously. "What are you doing here?"
"To see you," she smiled sweetly. "I missed you."
Natalia was my ex-girlfriend, and I don't even know what I saw in her... I guess she still isn't over me. She has blonde hair and was wearing a white dress that fell half way to her knees. She also had a little white flower clip in her hair.
"Uh, Natalia, we aren't dating," I reminded her.
"But you still want to go out with me, don't you?" she cooed playing with my tie.
"Uh, sorry, no," I put my hands up and walked away.
"Wait! Joey!" she called. "Can we just start over? Please? For me?"
"I'm sorry, Natalia, no."
Natalia just wasn't my type. I didn't want her back. She was pushy and bossy. She doesn't care for anyone other than herself.
"But-"
"No. Besides, I moved on," I shrugged.
"That doesn't mean-" she gasped.
"Yep, I love someone else."
Chapter 13: The Secret for Selena
I was at the party that the twins had. I was wearing a red dress that went to my knees and silver necklace, and earrings on.
I walked through the door and was instantly greeted by everyone.
I walked over to the drinks table and Drew found me.
"Hey," he greeted me. "You look beautiful."
"Thanks," I blushed.
Then we talked for a bit. Next came Joey and he said the same thing to me that Drew said when he saw me. They are twins after all.
"I'll leave you two to talk," Joey said and left.
Um, last time I checked, when you go up to someone and say hey beautiful and then leave, there's something wrong.
"So, may I have this dance?" Drew smiled at me as a new song came on and held out his hand.
"Yes. Yes you may," I smiled back and took his hand.
We walked to the dance area and I placed my left hand on his shoulder and we put our hands together. We started to move, back and forth, just like in those movies where they have a ball and do that one dance.
We smiled at each other and he whispered, "You're quite the dancer, but I think you know that already."
"Thanks. And I'm pretty sure you know that as well," I whispered back.
We grinned at each other and it felt like dancing with him on that stage the night of our performance. It felt magical and special. I imagined sparkles flying around us just because I have a weird imagination. I mean, it felt like there should be sparkles because this was a sparkle moment.
It felt like a second went by and suddenly the dance was over.
"Thanks for the dance," I said. "It was fun."
"And thank you," he smiled. "I'll be right back." He left and went for the drinks.
"Joey," I heard someone whine. I turned around and saw a blonde haired girl with a white dress stomp her foot like a little kid whining for a toy.
"Natalia," Joey said tiredly. "I told you that I don't love you anymore. I love someone else. Now let go!"
I walked over, and asked, "What's going on here?"
"Uh, oh Selena. Hi," Joey said, embarrassed. "Just a little encounter with an ex."
"Oh, sorry," I apologized.
"This is her?!" Natalia asked with disgust. "She's the girl you like? Why?!! I'm way prettier than her!"
"Natalia, Natalia," Joey stopped her. "I never said that."
"You do don't you? You good for nothing-" she screamed.
"Natalia.."
"It's okay, I'll go," I backed away and walked away and I heard her scream, "You are ugly like trash in a junk yard!"
It was starting again. The name calling. I was getting to where a lot of people wanted to be my friend. I went to the girls' room and looked at myself in the mirror. The person in the mirror was someone I didn't really recognize. She looked like a girl that Gabriella would want to be friends with. Someone counted as cool. Someone counted as pretty. Someone, who all the boys liked...
I turned on the faucet and splashed my face with the cool water and the makeup started to drip off my face.
What was wrong with me? Who am I changing to? Makeup? I don't ever wear makeup! Are the twins getting to me? I shook my head. No. I shouldn't blame them for who I'm becoming.
I walked out of the bathroom and Drew spotted me.
"Selena!" Drew called. "Where did you go?"
"To the bathroom, that's all," I replied.
"Hey, are you alright?" Drew asked with concern.
"Yeah," I lied. I didn't want Drew to worry more than he has to. Drew was acting so much like a brother than a friend or anything like that. He cared for me, like really cared. Cared for me like family.
"Selena!" Joey waved. "I'm so sorry."
"No, it's nothing," I said staring down at the ground.
"What did you do?" Drew asked Joey.
"I-it wasn't me! It was Natalia! She crashed the party!" Joey answered nervously.
"Natalia wouldn't have been here without you dating her! What did Natalia say about Selena?" Drew demanded.
"Drew..." I tried to say.
"Nothing!" Joey protested.
"Joey..." I said quietly.
"Nothing?! That's what's making her upset?! Natalia must have said something!" Drew exclaimed.
"Umm, you guys should take this outside..." I said nervously. "I'm going to go home anyways..."
Drew took me by my arm. "Selena, come with me."
I followed Drew outside into the garden filled with flowers and other greens. The moon was out, lighting up the night. The stars twinkled and sparkled above.
"Selena, what did Natalia say to you?" Drew's voice softened.
"Nothing," I said again.
"If it's nothing, what's bothering you?" Drew asked.
I wanted to burst out and tell him, but I just couldn't. I don't know why, but my heart ached holding the truth in.
"It's nothing," I tried again.
"Selena, look at me. Look at me!" Drew said, sternly as he grabbed both of my arms.
I couldn't. I kept staring at the ground.
"Selena..." Drew pleaded. "Please tell me. I want to help."
"Drew..." I said tiredly.
"No, it's easy. Just tell me," Drew tilted my head up to get me face to face with him.
"I-I-" I started, and then I looked into his eyes and I started to melt.
The ache was hammering against my chest and I had the urge to cry.
"Selena, Selena," Drew said quietly and hugged me close to him.
"She..." I said between sobs.
"Shh, you can tell me later," Drew stroked my hair.
I cried into his shoulder and Drew kept stroking my hair. "Just let them flow out."
Once the last tear fell, I lifted my head off of his shoulder. "Thank you," I breathed.
"No problem," he whispered.
"Aw, now your shirt is wet," I frowned, touching the spot my tears had decided to drop on.
"It's okay," Drew shrugged.
"No it's not," I protested.
"It's okay, really."
"Okay."
"Would you tell me now what Natalia said?" Drew asked.
"She just called me ugly trash just like the rest of the people at the school used to," I said like it was no big deal.
"Why couldn't you tell me that before?" Drew asked puzzled.
"It wouldn't have made any difference."
"Well, you would have had this sooner." Drew pulled me close and kissed me. I felt my eyelids flutter closed as I kissed him back. I hugged him closer and broke the kiss and laid my head on his shoulder.
"Selena?"
"Yeah?" I asked as he reached for my hand, still hugging me close.
"Would you like to be my girlfriend?"
Chapter 14: The Big Question and the Result for Drew
I pulled her close and couldn't help but kiss her. She made me. It wasn't my fault! Then, I felt her kiss me back, and I knew it was time to ask her.
"Selena?"
"Yeah?" she asked and I reached for her hand, and stroke her hair.
"Would you like to be my girlfriend?" I asked.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
Today was going great. Last night was amazing. Except the part where Selena kept lying to me and the part where Selena made me feel really awkward.
Last night, I asked her out.
~Last Night's FlashBack~
She lifted her head and smiled. I looked into her brown eyes that looked black in the night. Then I realized, she wasn't smiling.
"Um," she said, uncertain. "I-I-" I winced. Was this a yes? Or was it a no?
"Sorry, I'm going to have to say...." she trailed off.
"What is it Selena?" I asked worriedly.
"No," Selena whispered quietly.
It was the worse and most awkward moments of my life. "Then why do you kiss me back?" I asked confused as ever.
"Oh. Uh, I don't know... I mean," Selena sighed. "It's complicated."
"Oh," I said as I blinked.
I never get the girl. Joey is always getting the girl! He's always stealing the person I love. I bet this is going to happen to Selena too. Now I was furious.
"Sorry..." Selena said nervously.
"No, it's okay," I let go of her hand. "I-I have to go." I left her behind in the garden and went upstairs to my bedroom.
~Back to Drew's Bedroom
I laid on my bed and stared at the ceiling. What was wrong with me? What made Joey a better choice than me? I wanted to scream. I haven't ever felt this way about a girl before. Selena is the only girl who has made me continue feeling like I was the King of the World.
I glanced over outside of my window. It was dark and gloomy out and it looked like it was going to rain. I didn't want to go to school and see Selena. It was going to be really awkward. I mean, your friend asks you out and you say no. Isn't going to be awkward?
My iPhone vibrated on the bedside table. I picked it up and read that I received a text from Taylor Swiss.
"Eek! Can't believe u asked Sel out!"
I groaned. "Yeah and she said no," I texted back.
"Aww but u 2 wood b cute 2gether!"
"She said no. Means she dont like me," I frowned.
"I bet she does! She just don't no!" Taylor texted.
"How do u no?"
"cuz. i gtg. c u soon!"
I sighed. Nothing felt right. I pulled myself up and grabbed my black backpack. I put on my jacket and walked out the door.
"Hey!" Joey called out to me. "Want a ride?"
I nodded and climbed into his black car. Joey can be useful for a ride to school, but other than that, he's a stuck up jerk.
We got to the school and I avoided everyone I saw. I went straight to my locker and straight to my classes. At the end of the day, I didn't talk to Selena once. I ran down the steps of the school and went to the parking lot. I walked towards Joey's car and then, I saw Selena and him talking. I panicked and hid in between a bush. I watched them talk and I watched Selena leave. I sighed in relief.
"Heyy."
I jumped back and turned around. "S-Selena!"
"What are you doing in the bush?" she asked smiling.
"Uh, n-nothing," I replied nervously.
"I didn't scare you that much now did I?" she laughed.
"Uh, no."
She held out her hand and she pulled me up. "So why were you hiding behind a bush?"
"No reason," I shrugged.
"I'm sorry for saying no, but the answer is still no," her face softened.
I cringed. "Uh, it's no big deal," I said, but it was to me.
"Are you sure?" she asked.
"Yeah, positive."
"Well, I have to go," Selena said. "I'll see you later!"
"See ya," I waved.
Geez that was hard. I hated the way I felt around Selena because I act all stupid and stuff around her. She makes me nervous but I can't help that. I ran over to Joey and quickly got into the car.
"Geez, Drew. What's the rush?" Joey asked.
"Nothing," I shook my head.
"Hey, you looked bummed this morning. What's going on? Is it Selena?" Joey asked.
"Yeah, I guess. I asked her out yesterday night, and she said no," I replied.
"Aw, sorry, Drew."
"It's nothing."
"No it's not nothing!"
"Yes it is now drive," I said.
"Fine," Joey frowned and started the engine.
Chapter 15: The Awkwardness for Selena
Drew was avoiding me at school. I know because I tried waving to him and I'm pretty sure he saw me both times. I think it was because of last night when he asked me out. It was pretty awkward. I mean, I don't really know who I love anymore. Drew is my friend... I don't know what to think anymore!
So I asked Joey if anything's up with Drew and I spotted him from the corner of my eye run and hide in the bushes.
"I'm going to go home. Thanks anyways," I said to Joey.
I walked out of the parking lot and snuck around a car and approached from behind. Just act natural!
"Heyy," I said.
"S-Selena!" Drew jumped.
"What are you doing hiding behind that bush?" I asked.
"Uh nothing," he stuttered.
"Did I scare you that much?" I laughed.
"Uh, no."
I helped him up on his feet. "So why are you hiding in the bushes?"
"No reason," he replied still staring at the ground.
"I'm sorry for saying no, but the answer's still no."
"No big deal."
"Are you sure?"
"Positive."
I looked at him blankly. "I got to go. I'll see you later."
"See ya," I heard Drew say behind me.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"I don't know Taylor. He was ignoring me today at school," I said into my iPhone.
"Well, duh! He's probably embarrassed that he asked you out and you said no," Taylor's voice on the other line said into my ear.
Now I felt really bad. "Yeah, true."
"Do you like him?" she asked.
"I don't know."
"Okay. Listen. Drew. When you heard Drew's name, what did you feel?"
"Happy, butterflies," I listed.
"Then yeah I think you would like to go out with him. Why did you sat no?"
"Because," I sighed and laid on my bed. "I feel the same way with Joey."
There was silence at the end of the line for a minute.
"You like both of them?" Taylor whispered.
"I guess..." I said.
"What?!" Taylor screamed into my ear.
"Ow!"
"Sorry but what?!" Taylor said. "Well, which one makes you more nervous?"
"I don't know."
"Drew. Joey."
"Stop! You're making me melt and all hyper!" I pleaded as my heart started to ache from all these names getting repeated.
"Dreww. Joeyy!"
"No! Fine, I feel more butterflies around Joey, okay?!" I admitted.
"My best friend be liking a famous person now?" Taylor teased.
"Please don't tell him," I begged as I got up and looked out the window.
"I won't," Taylor promised.
"Good." Then, I thought of something else. "If I ask him out or he askes me, and I say yes or he says yes, I would feel like a traitor..."
"Don't worry about it," Taylor said. "They'll get over it."
"Okay then..."
Chapter 16: The Chance for Joey
I knew something was wrong for Drew. He's always a jerk, but this time, I could tell.
"Drew, what's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing." That was his answer every time I asked him.
"Why can't you tell me?" I asked at dinner yesterday night.
"I told you there's nothing wrong, now stop bothering me."
"Is it Selena?"
"NO!"
"It is isn't it?" I smirked.
"NO! NOW LEAVE ME ALONE!" Drew yelled and stormed up the stairs.
Pff. Whatever. Why should I care? Hmmm... It's definatly about Selena. I called her and asked.
"Hello?" Selena answered.
"Hey, it's Joey," I smiled. "Do you perhaps know why Drew's mad and such a grump?"
"Oh. Um, well, I asked Taylor that too even though... well, you know," Selena said from the other line.
"Well, what did she say?" I asked eager.
"She said that he might just be really bummed about me saying no to him," Selena started.
"Wait! What did you say no to?"
"He didn't tell you?" Selena asked with disbelief.
"No, what is this about?" I demanded.
"Well, he sorta asked me out..." she said nervously.
"WHAT?!"
"Ow!"
"Sorry," I apologized.
"It's okay, but yeah and I said no."
"Oh. It would be a bummer if I were him."
"But I feel really bad about it..."
"Don't. He gets rejected a lot."
"Like that makes me feel a whole lot better," she said with sarcasm.
"Yesh, sorry."
"Well, I got to go. I'll talk to you later," Selena said apologetically.
We said our good-byes. Then, I realized that I now had a chance with Selena!
"Yes!" I said to myself and went upstairs happily.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"That was really cool," Selena exclaimed as I walked off the stage.
It was a Sunday night and I had a little show and I had one extra ticket which I gave to Selena.
"Thanks," I smiled.
"You did great!" she smiled back.
We walked out of the Kelly Square and into the black limo waiting for us.
"I feel like a celebrity in here," Selena laughed as she sat down on the red seat.
I laughed along with her. "I'm used to it."
"I know you are!"
We were greeted by a moment of quiet except the sound of the wheels on the road. I looked over at her. She always looked beautiful, even if she was just wearing regular day clothes. She caught my gaze and I reached up and moved a piece of lose hair on her face. Next thing I knew, my lips were touching hers and they were brushing against each other.
"What was that for?" Selena whispered as she broke the kiss.
"Just 'cause," I smiled dreamily at her.
"There's no other reason?" she smiled playfully.
"Well, maybe one," I shrugged.
"And what is that?" she asked, fingering the collar of my shirt.
"Why should I tell you?" I teased.
"Because," she smiled again.
"You're so cute when you smile," it slipped out of my mouth.
"Aw, thank you."
"No problem," I pulled her in closer and kissed her again.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
I think Drew got over Selena saying no. I'm not sure, but he's not ignoring her anymore, which is good, I guess.
Selena's happy, I'm happy. Drew's happy. Taylor and 'Sandra are happy. It's all good. I really like Selena, but if I ask her, Drew's going to hate me forever. I mean, I shouldn't really care, but I've done that enough to him in the past. I didn't want to hurt him that way anymore. It felt childish and old. Plus, I got a lot of the girls I wanted already. Selena felt different though. She wasn't like the other girls. She wasn't like anyone I've ever met.
So what am I to do?
Chapter 17: The "Date" for Selena
Drew isn't ignoring me anymore, and that's a good thing, because I like talking to him. He's a great listener and he can make me laugh when I'm down. That's something I love about Drew.
"...Selena?" Taylor called.
"Sorry, what was that?" I asked as I realized that I wasn't even touching my lunch.
Taylor, Drew, Joey, Cassandra and I were eating lunch at school outside under an oak tree.
"What were you daydreaming about?" Cassandra teased.
"Nothing. Just thinking really..." I answered.
"About?" Drew asked.
"A lot of things," I explained.
"Anyways, the question was, I was going out tonight to that one fancy restaurant. Wanna come?" Taylor repeated.
"Oh, sure! I would love to!" I answered.
"Alright, so, Taylor is going to be there. Joey is. Drew can't make it. Cassandra can't make it, so it's just the four of us!" Taylor said.
"Okay. I'll be there!" I said excitedly.
"Good. The restaurant is called the Luxemburg Restaurant. Remember that place? If you don't, it doesn't relly matter because Joey is going to pick you up. It's a fancy restaurant so dress up nicely!" Taylor said excitedly.
"Alright! I'll see you guys there at six!"
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
It looked just right. The dress I was wearing to the dinner tonight was a tight, strapless white dress that ran and stopped half way between my waist and my knees. I wore a little dress jacket along with it. I had a white flower clip in my brown hair. I looked at myself in the mirror and nodded. This was going to be a great night!
"Selena! Joey's here!" Mom called from below.
"Okay! I'm coming!" I yelled down as I reached for my purse and white heels.
I ran down the stairs and met Joey at the bottom. He was wearing a tuxedo and black dress shoes.
"Hey," I breathed.
"You look beautiful," he smiled as he took my hand.
"Thank you. You look nice too," I smiled back.
"Ooh let me get a picture! You both look stunning!" Mom said and went to get her camera.
"Mom!" I groaned as she took 5 pictures.
"Great, have a great time you two!'' Mom called.
Joey and I got into the car and we started to head to the restaurant. When we got there, I saw that Taylor and Taylor were already there and at a table.
"Hey guys!" Taylor got up and walked over to us.
Taylor was wearing a cream colored dress and her blonde hair was crimped. Beside her was Taylor A. wearing a tux.
"Hey, Taylor and Taylor," I smiled.
"They didn't have a table for four so I just got two tables of two," Taylor S. frowned apologetically.
"That's fine, right?" Joey nodded.
"Yeah," I said, suddenly feeling nervous about Joey and I sitting alone at a table.
"Alright, let's go," Joey said and we walked over to our table.
I sat down and we ordered some food.
"It's beautiful here, isn't it?" Joey smiled as he looked around the restaurant.
"Yeah, it is," I replied.
The restaurant had golden chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and the ceiling had a painting on it. The walls were a golden color and the floors were brownish yellow. Different scents of food filled the air. We were sitting near the window, so I looked outside. Light posts and headlights of cars brightened the night. Stars filled the sky along with the shining moon.
"So," Joey said. "Are you going to do anything tomorrow after school or night?"
"I don't think so," I answered.
"Well, would you like to come with Drew and me to that one butterfly garden? I have to do a tour there," Joey explained.
"Oh, sure," I said. Anything to do with the twins is fine with me!
"Great. I'll meet you tomorrow at the end of the day," Joey smiled.
"Okay," I smiled back, which made me all squishy inside.
The food came and we started eatting and I thought it started to get kinda awkward. It was quiet except for the chatter around us. Then I heard Taylor S. laugh on Joey's right. I looked over at her and Taylor A. She is always so comfortable around boys...
"So, this food is good," Joey said, breaking the quiet at our table.
"Yeah," I replied.
Soon, we fell into a conversation while we were eating and talked all the way through. All four of us split the bill and paid, then we walked out of the restaurant. Joey had his arm around my waist and Taylor had his arm around Taylor's. It's so weird how there are two Taylor's and it's sometimes confusing if I tell someone about a certain Taylor, like Taylor and Taylor... Like which Taylor?!
"Well, thanks for inviting us," I said to Taylor S.
"No problem! It was fun!" Taylor S. exclaimed.
"We should do this again sometime," Joey nodded.
"See you guys tomorrow," Taylor A. waved and he and Taylor S. went home.
Joey and I went into his car and we headed home.
Chapter 18: The Truth for Taylor Swiss
No one knows. Not even Selena Gonzales, my BFF. No one knows that I don't have a really wealthy family and my dad doesn't necessarily treat my family right. He doesn't treat my sister, my mom and I right. He usually goes to work in the morning, and comes home around eight at night. Afterwards, he would just go to bed and not clean anything up. If he gets in a fight with someone, he would hit them until they said he was right. He's always right and no one can prove him wrong or else. Mom says that it's just because of something that happened after my little sister, Lilly turned one year old. I'm still not sure what it is, because my mom doesn't like to talk about it. My dad is the only one that works and he doesn't get paid much. My mom stays home and watches the house. Lilly is only in fourth grade. She comes home and instantly does her homework and then her chores. I feel so bad for her though. She works really hard, just like her mother...
Selena, well, she's my BFF as I said before. She has the cutest clothes in my opinion and she was really pretty. She has always been bullied because of her looks and one day in fifth grade, I decided to make the move that changed my life. It changed my friends, my reputation... even my popularity. I decided to stand up for her, and she turned out really nice.
We've been friends ever since. I never told her the hard things that happen at home. She has met my sister, but she hasn't ever been to my house. I made sure it was that way.
As her BFF, I support her and help her, you know? Like when she told me she liked one of the twins from school. She picked the famous one. She picked Joey Parker. I'll admit that I was surprised when she told me she liked Joey and not Drew. I thought that maybe she was nervous and said no because she wasn't ready to date him yet, but no! She liked his twin. I'm not mad at this decision though. She loves whoever her heart choses for her, so.
Then, at school, I thought of an idea for Joey and Selena to get closer and more comfortable together. I decided that we go out to eat. Apparently, 'Sandra and Drew couldn't make it so it was just Selena, Joey, Taylor and me.
I won't admit it, but I like Taylor Austin. He's cute, nice and funny. He can always make me smile and make me feel comfortable around him. This makes it better for me to be around him.
At the restaurant that we all went to, there wasn't a table for four so we just did tables of two and split the sum of both bills. Luckily it wasn't too much for me.
Selena and Joey went their separate way while Taylor and I went our way home.

It was Tuesday morning as I walked to school on my own. Lilly was home sick with a fever of a hundred point nine. I promised her that I would come home as soon as I could.
"I'll be at school, Lilly. Mom will take good care of you," I told her as I collected my books. "I'll come home as soon as I can, Gummi Bear."
"Bye, Gummi Worm," Lilly giggled.
My sister Lilly and I have a great bond. She's the sweetest girl you'll ever meet. She has called me Gummi Worm ever since Kindergarten and I've called her Gummi Bear ever since.
I walked out the door and went straight to school and hoping that the day would go by fast.

"Joey and Drew are going to take me that one butterfly garden after school!" Selena told me excitedly.
"Really aww. That's great!" I smiled.
"Thanks. So are you guys doing anything after school?" Selena asked Cassandra and me.
"Lilly's sick so I have to take care of her tonight," I replied.
"Aww I hope she feels better," Cassandra and Selena said.
We walked to class and I sat next to Taylor.
"Heyy," I smiled.
"Oh hey," Taylor smiled back.
"Whatcha doing?"
"Nothing really," Taylor replied.
"Tay-Tay," came a voice behind us.
It was Gabriella and Ashley. Haven't seen them in a while.
"Gabriella, Ashley," Taylor called.
"Wanna come with us after school? We are going to go to the butterfly garden because... my mom bought tickets," Gabriella stuttered.
"Hmph. I bet you're only trying to get Joey to notice you," I said coldly.
"Don't listen to her. She doesn't know nothing. Besides, I'm over Joey," Gabriella quickly put in.
"Pff, whatever."
"So, would you like to come?" Ashley asked Taylor and gave me a glare.
"Are you coming?" Taylor asked me.
"I can't," I said apologetically.
"Aw, well, I wasn't ever really good with butterflies anyways," Taylor shrugged.
"But who cares? At least you'll be hanging out with us," Gabriella said with panic.
I knew then that we had just won against them. But then, I remembered what Selena had said. Gabriella might be trying to get to Joey or Drew and if she does, Selena's going to get broken! I can't go and protect her! I'll leave Lilly all alone and would break my promise! What should I do? Friendship or Family?
Chapter 19: The Butterfly Garden for Drew
I met Joey and Selena outside at the end of the day. We were going to the butterfly garden because Joey and I were leading a tour. Selena was going along and I'm kinda over the fact that she doesn't like me. I still love her no matter what. I'll be there as a friend though. It's not as awkward anymore.
We drove to the Lanie's Butterfly Garden and went inside.
Tons of butterflies swarmed us as we walked in. I watched as Selena looked around in awe at the sudden blast of color and the beauty of the thousands of butterflies.
A monarch butterfly landed on Selena's hand.
"It's so pretty," Selena whispered to me.
I nodded and we went up to our tour group.
"Hey guys!" Joey greeted the group waiting for their tour guide through the butterfly garden.
"OMG! It's Joey Parker!" the group shouted.
"Not so loud guys," Joey said. "You'll distract the butterflies. Now shall we begin the tour?"
We walked through the garden and pointed out some butterflies and then, I found out that Gabriella and Ashley were there.
"Hey, Drew," Gabriella greeted me.
"Hi, Gabriella. Why are you here?" I asked.
''To learn about butterflies, duh!"
"Last time a butterfly landed on you, you screamed so loud, the school a mile away could even hear you," I frowned.
"Well- well, it was a moth!" Gabriella protested.
"No it wasn't. It was a buckeye butterfly."
"W-Whatever!" she yelled.
"Tell me the real reason you're here. Oh, wait! Is it because of Joey?" I smirked.
"No."
"She came here for you!" Ashley blurted and then, Gabriella gave her a glare.
"For me, eh?" I held in a laugh.
"Don't listen to her," Gabriella ordered.
"Well, if you don't mind, I'm going to enjoy the 'moths,''' I said walking away.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
The tour was finished and Joey, Selena and I got to explore the garden and play around with the butterflies. I was following a giant swallowtail when I walked outside and spotted Selena. When I took a few steps towards her, my heart stopped at what I saw and I couldn't continue watching what Selena was doing and it broke my heart. It killed me inside.
Chapter 20: One of the Biggest Moments of My Life for Joey
The tour ended and since Selena helped, she also got to play around with the butterflies with Drew and me. We looked at butterflies up close and everything. It was really amazing. The butterflies flew around Selena and landed on her constantly. They loved her! She was really gentle about them, always lifting her arm slowly to take a closer look at the butterfly. We went over to a different tour group for a little and listened to how to handle the butterflies and help them when they were in danger. We learned about the different species and every time I looked over at her, she had a sparkle in her eyes. I smiled every time too, because she was. She was happy and totally into the idea of learning about butterflies.
"That was so much fun!" Selena smiled.
We were outside taking some fresh air.
"Yeah it was," I agreed.
"I would so do this again if I had the chance," she said as she looked out to the road of cars rushing by.
"Really?"
"Yeah. I always loved learning about animals," she replied.
"Maybe we can go to that one place where they teach you about certain animals on certain days," I said.
"Well, then I can't wait for that day to come," she smiled.
"What's your favorite animal?" I asked.
"I like tigers," she answered. "What's yours?"
"I like dolphins, but tigers are awesome too," I said. "Maybe we can see tigers first when we go."
"That would be fun," she nodded.
Now, I got all nervous because I didn't know what to say next. I started to try to find something to talk about. My mind was blank. Then, I thought, If we were dating, what would I ask her? Then it came to me.
"What are your favorite flowers?"
"Roses and lilies," Selena replied. "Wait, what are these questions for?" she turned to me smiling suspiciously.
"Just curious," I answered. "Is it wrong for me to be curious?"
"No," she shook her head. "The problem is, I suspect you're going to do something with all of this research you're doing."
"Pff," I laughed. "Maybe I am, maybe I'm not."
She laughed and hugged me. "Thanks for inviting me. It was really fun today."
"Good and you're welcome," I smiled and hugged her back.
I lifted her head up and kissed her lips. I felt her lips slide past mine. I smiled knowing that she's kissing back. I saw a figure watching and saw that it was Drew. I saw the expression and I knew I had won the girl again. At least that what I thought. He walked away and gave me a look of disappointment, surprised, and anger. I smiled and decided to ask her the question on my mind, and broke away.
"So, Selena," I started and took a deep breath. "Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked and stared into her brown eyes.
I saw the surprise in her eyes and the panic.
"It's okay if it's a no and it's okay if you don't like me like I love you..." I said quickly.
"No, it's not that," she said cautiously.
"Then what is it?" I asked panicked.
"I-I... well..."
I was starting to get anxious. I was panicking. Was she going to say no?!
"I'll be happy to be your girlfriend."
Chapter 21: The Help for Drew
"I can't believe you treat me like this!" I yelled at Joey.
"She didn't like you. Apparently she liked me. Is it wrong to ask her out and for her to say yes?" he smirked.
"What kind of brother are you?!" I shouted and stormed up the stairs and into my bedroom just as the doorbell rang.
I couldn't control the anger inside me. This time was different. Selena was different! I know it! Just why did I have a twin brother that steals the girls that I love all the time?! Especially Selena! What did she see in Joey that makes him a better choice than me?! What did he have that I didn't?! Money? Fame? Popularity?
We are twins! We are supposed to be similar to each other. How is it that every time they choose Joey?!
I thrust my fist into my pillow. I heard the doorbell ring.
"I'm getting it!" Joey yelled from below.
I looked out of my bedroom window. I saw a black car outside. One that I looked familiar but I couldn't figure out who it belonged to.
"Yo, Drew!" Joey yelled down.
"What?!"
"Pff fine then," Joey yelled.
"What is it Joey?!" I shouted back.
"Some girl is here wanting to see you," Joey said.
"I'm coming, I'm coming," I muttered as I ran my hand through my hair, making sure it looked okay.
I went downstairs and Joey moved over. "Juliana?!" I asked surprised.
"Hi Drew," she smiled.
Juliana was my best friend that was a girl... We met in fifth grade when we were forced to be partners for a project. We've been friends ever since.
"I can't believe it! It's really you!" I said, still in shock. "Come on in!"
We went up to my bedroom and we started to catch up on what was going on in our lives when it eventually got to the part about the Dance Competition.
"Oh! I saw that dance competition that Joey held. I saw you singing and dancing with that one girl!" Juliana said.
"Oh yeah! Her name's Selena," I replied, but then I felt really bad all over again as I said her name.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Juliana's expression was with concern.
"It's nothing..."
"It's the girl isn't it?" Juliana sighed. "You like her?"
"Yeah," I said sadly.
"Did you ask her out yet?"
"Yeah... but she said no."
"Aww."
"Yeah..."
"You seem bummed about something else though."
"You some kind of mind reader?" I teased.
"Yeah, when it comes to you," she smiled. "But seriously, what's bugging you?"
"It's Joey," I shrugged.
"What did he do?" she studied my face. "Oh, no. He didn't ask her out did he?"
"Sometimes I swear you can read my mind!" I said.
"Pff. I'm awesome! I got it right! Ha! And she said yes?"
"Yeah," I sighed.
"I swear your brother has something you don't!"
"Tell me about it."
"Well, let me talk to this Selena," Juliana smiled. "I'll try to see what she sees in that jerk."
"Okay. Thanks, Juli."
Chapter 22: Talent Show for Joey
"Come on, it will be fun!" I persuaded.
"No. I don't want to sing in front of so many people..." Selena protested.
I was trying to persuade Selena into participating in the talent show. It was a large event. I was hosting it and there are going to be judges, like actual talent judges.
"You'll do great!" I said again.
"No I won't."
"Come on! What does it take to get you to enter?!" I asked.
"I'm not entering!"
"Yes you are," I said. "You have talent for singing and dancing!"
"Well," she said. "I'm not that good."
"Yes you are. You're better than good. Better than that Justin kid."
"Oh please."
"I'm going to call Drew over here," I smirked.
"No, please no!" she panicked.
"Why not?"
"Because..."
"Because??"
"Because he'll make me do it."
"Fine. I'll call him over."
"No!" she pleaded.
"Oh snap there he is now," I smiled. "Yo! Drew!"
Drew was walking with Juliana from last night. Juliana was his girl friend. No, not the dating kind of girl friend. The girl friend as in the friend that's a girl. Juli was a pretty girl with perfectly straight blonde hair. I'm not really close to her or nothing.
"Hey," Drew greeted us. "This is Juliana."
"Hi," Selena greeted her. "I'm Selena."
Juli just smiled and Selena smiled back. I couldn't tell what they were communicating between them, but Drew and I just shrugged.
"Oh yeah, Drew. Don't you think Selena should be part of the talent show this year?" I asked him.
"Wha-? Joey!" Selena sighed.
"Of course! You'll make a great addition!" Drew smiled.
"Drew."
"What?"
She just rolled her eyes playfully.
"What would you do in the talent show?" Juliana asked.
"Joey says I should sing or dance," she replied.
"Oh," Juli said. "Well, if Joey says you got talent, you got talent."
"Thanks," she smiled. TT
"Hey, want to meet Juli and I at Twistars Ice Cream?" Drew asked.
"Sure," Selena replied, and looked up at me.
"Sure, meet you there in about... thirty minutes?" I asked.
"Yeah," Drew nodded and they went to Juli's car.
I placed my arm around Selena's waist and we walked out to my car.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
Selena and I first went to my house that I shared with Drew. Why is he acting so calm? I stole his girl like yesterday. Juli sure does make him feel better... Selena and I went to my room.
"I remember your room!" she said.
"Good," I laughed.
I dropped my backpack on the floor and I took her backpack which I put next to mine.
"So what are we going to do for... the next twenty minutes?" Selena asked.
"I was thinking of helping you for the talent show audition. It's on Friday, you know," I replied.
"It is?! That's like, three days from now!" she panicked.
"Don't panic," I said. "I know it's only three days from now, but you can do this. Now, what songs do you memorize? Like which ones did you memorize?"
"Um... 'My Heart Will Go On' from that one Titanic movie... and 'Titanium'..." she listed.
"Try the Titanic one," I suggested and turned on the MacBook Pro in my room. I quickly went in YouTube and looked up the karaoke version of the song. I started to play it and she started to sing the song. I started to melt in my chair. She sounded like an angel, innocent, and beautiful.
"That one was perfect!" I smiled.
"Really? I thought I sounded off..." she said.
"Nah, you were right. This is a good one to sing!" I exclaimed.
"Okay, this one it is," she smiled. "We got like ten minutes. Want to go early?"
"Sure, let's go."
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
We met up with Juliana and Drew a few minutes later. Thankfully, it was warm out.
"Hey," Drew greeted us.
"Hi," Selena smiled and sat down. I sat next to her.
"So what would you girls like?" Drew asked.
"Just vanilla with sprinkles please," Selena answered.
"I'll take chocolate. Just chocolate," Juli smiled.
"Alright. Joey, come with me?" Drew looked over at me.
"Right behind you," I said and followed him in line.
Chapter 23: Another Secret for Selena
"Thanks!" the new girl called behind them. "So anyways, I'm Juliana but you can call me Juli. I'm just a friend of Drew's."
"Oh, well, I'm Selena, and Joey's girlfriend," I told her.
Juli was a pretty girl with perfectly straight blonde hair. When I first saw her, I thought she was Drew's new girl. I won't admit it to anyone, but I was relieved when she said she was just a friend of Drew's. I don't know why, but I felt a pang of jealousy. I was kind of jealous that she was close to Drew and I wasn't. I bet she knows him so well.
"So," she started. "How long have you known Joey and Drew?"
"Oh, umm... about a month or so now," I replied.
"Oh. So what made you decide that you like Joey better than Drew?" Juli asked.
"I don't really know," I shrugged. "Something made me like him more than Drew. I still like Drew as a friend though."
"Oh. Did you feel bad at all?"
"Yeah. I felt like I betrayed Drew..." I frowned.
"Well, you're lucky that you're dating one of the twins," she shrugged.
"Yeah, I guess," I said, as the boys approached the table with our ice cream.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"It's beautiful isn't it?" Joey asked, smiling down at me. "Just like you."
"Aw, thanks," I blushed.
Joey and I were walking in the park and the sun was setting. It was beautiful indeed. A rainbow colored sky, and little strips of clouds. We walked to his car and my phone rang.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Selena?! It's Taylor," said a shaky voice on the line.
"Taylor? What is it? What's going on?" I asked.
"N-nothing," Taylor said. "Um, I was just wondering if we could have a sleep over tonight."
"That's fine, but can you please tell me what's wrong?" I asked.
"Later. When we're alone," Taylor said.
"Okay, see you soon."
We hung up and I shrugged at Joey. "I don't know why she sounded so shaky."
"Well, you'll find out soon enough," Joey said.
On the way back to my house, all I could think about was Taylor's phone call. Something was wrong and I really want to be there to support her. I mean, we're best friends. Best friends support each other. Was it Taylor A? Did something happen to her? I was panicking.
"Hey, calm down," Joey frowned as he parked his car in front of my house. "Everything is going to be okay."
I just nodded and let him walk me to the front porch. "Well, thanks for everything today."
"No problem. We should do it again sometime," he smiled and kissed me.
I kissed him back. "See you later," I waved.
He nodded and I went inside.
"Hey, honey. And hi Joey," my mom smiled. "Taylor's here for a sleep over!"
"Yes, thanks Mom."
"Hi Ms. Gonzales," Joey smiled. "Bye Selena. Good Bye Ms. Gonzales."
"Gee, isn't he polite," Mom nodded as she closed the door after Joey left.
"Mom!" I laughed.
"Well, go upstairs. Taylor's waiting!"
I went upstairs and met Tay in my bedroom and closed the door behind me.
"Hey," I said softly. "What's wrong Tay?"
"You must keep it a secret okay? I don't trust anyone else."
"What is it that's so important?" I asked.
"It's-it's everything..." Taylor confessed.
"Well, just explain one thing at a time."
"Okay. But first, there was a reason that you have never been to my house before," Taylor started. "And it's because of my family."
Taylor explained that her dad didn't treat the family right. Her mom couldn't find a job. Her sister and her were stuck in school and can't really do anything.
"I may have a phone, but I need it in case something happens in my family, I can call Aunt Andrea. You remember her right?" Taylor asked.
"Yeah. She was fun and really nice," I nodded.
She kept explaining that she hid all of this in ever since, like, forever.
"I never told this to anyone. I didn't know what people would think of me," Taylor explained as tears fell from her cheeks. "I hope I can trust you."
"Here." I handed her a tissue. "And you can trust me. I'll kept all of this safe. I promise!"
"Thanks, Sel," Taylor hugged me.
"But you've kept this in for such a long time! How did you manange to deal with this every day?!" I exclaimed.
"I don't know. I guess you help me forget the bad things from home. I wanted a sleep over to get away from all of that. But Lilly..."
"You left Lilly there?!" I gasped.
"No! She's over at her friend's," Taylor said. "I would never leave her at home like that."
"Good. I was about to say."
We started to get snuggled in and ready for the next morning to approach.
"You're a good person, Sel," Taylor whispered.
"Thanks," I smiled. "You are too."
Chapter 24: The Music Video for Drew
Juli, Joey, and I were sitting in RushBrooke High School auditorium after school. We were helping judge the Talent Show pickings. This talent show was a competition. The worst part? Selena was in it.
I would hate to see her lose when she's so good at singing and dancing.
"Okay, Selena's up next," Juli told me.
"Okay, here we go," I said, bracing myself as Selena walked onstage.
"Hi," Juli said.
"Hi, I'm Selena Gonzales. I'm fourteen years old and I will be singing 'My Heart Will Go On' by Celine Dion," she smiled.
Juli and I exchanged glances. Partly because that rhymed and because we were ready to hear her sing.
"Alright. Whenever you're ready," Juli smiled back.
Selena gave the signal to the person handling the music. When the music started, Selena knew right when to jump in. She sang beautifully. Every note just right. Not too high, not too low. She sounded so angelic.
I looked over at Juli and smiled at her expression on her face. She was smiling and obviously impressed.
"Wow, she is good!" Juli whispered to me and I just nodded.
After the song ended, Joey, Juli and I nodded while the clapping went on.
"You're in," Juli smiled as she wrote down Selena's name.
"Thank you!" Selena smiled and walked offstage.
"You picked a good one," I said to Joey.
"One of the hardest ones though."
"She has a good chance of winning," Juli mentioned. "She has talent."
"Yeah, she does."
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"OMG you were so amazing!" Juli smiled.
"Thanks," Selena said.
"It was beautiful!" Joey hugged her.
"Sounded like angels," I smiled.
"Thanks guys."
"So now are you nervous for the real thing on Friday?" I asked.
"Aw, yes! Real judges are coming..." Selena said worriedly.
"Don't worry. I think you are going to blow the judges out of their seats and make them fall on their butts!" Juli laughed.
We laughed and walked off the school grounds.
We said our good-byes and all headed to my house. We were going to just hang out and stuff.
Once we got to the house, we went in and went to Joey's room.
"Okay, so," Juli started. "What are we going to do?"
"I don't know. We could just talk and eat food," I suggested.
Selena laughed. "Or we could play games."
"We'll think of something," Joey said.
"Oh yeah! Did our video ever make it?" Selena asked.
"I forgot all about that video!" Joey replied.
"Me too," I chimed in.
"I'll call Angie and ask her," Joey said and picked up the phone. He started to dial her number.
"Hello? I'm Joey Parker... Yea I was wondering if the video ever made it.... Oh. Okay thanks. Bye.'' Joey hung up and looked at us. "It's going to be posted tomorrow!"
"Yay!" Selena said.
"Finally!"
"We'll watch it tomorrow after school!" I suggested.
"Okay let's do this again tomorrow. OMG can't wait!" Selena said excitedly.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"Aw that's cute!" Juli cooed as we watched the new music video of "Dance With Me."Selena, Joey and I just shot each other looks. We did better than we thought!
"That was so good you guys!" Juli high-fived us.
"Thank you," I said.
"When you guys get in school, you two are going to get ran over," Juli told Selena and Joey.
"Aw tell me about it!" Selena groaned.
"Sel, it's the life of being famous," Joey smiled. "You were lucky to have a little singing solo in the video," I said. "People are going to say something about that."
"Definatly," Juli nodded.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"There they are!" someone yelled, pointing at Selena, Joey and me.
"Oh no, RUN!" Joey shouted running.
Selena and I ran behind him, darting through crowds that suddenly turn around and join in, chasing us.
"Come back!" someone called to us.
"Where are we going?" Selena asked Joey.
"I don't know. Away from these people!"
"Mr. Klein always lets me use his classroom. Follow me!" Selena yelled and we ran behind her.
The crowd was getting bigger by the second. Then, someone grabbed my arm.
"Drew! Wait for us!" Taylor, Taylor A. and Cassandra were following us.
"Run faster!" I yelled to them. If I slowed down, the crowd would swallow me.
We were running in circles, but Taylor S. and Cassandra knew the plan. They went straight to Mr. Klein's room.
"We're going in circles!" I said.
"That's the point!" Selena yelled back.
"Break right here!" Joey yelled and we ran to Mr. Klein's room and met up with the two Taylor's and Cassandra.
"Hey," Selena breathed.
"Hi. You must have ran for a while," Taylor S. said.
"Tell me about it!" Selena and I said together.
"We watched it last night too," Taylor A. replied. "It was amazing!"
Cassandra and Taylor S. nodded in agreement.
"Thanks you guys," Selena smiled. "There were a whole lot of people chasing us."
"Yeah! And I was all excited when I heard your solo. I was like, 'that's my best friend guys!'" Taylor S. laughed.
"Well, let's hope that we don't get crowded to our classes!" I said.
Chapter 25: The School Event That Will Change My Life Forever for Selena
"I'm so nervous!" I cried.
"Just go out there and try your best," Joey smiled. "You'll do great!"
"I'm still shaking no matter what!" I frowned.
"Selena," Joey hugged me. "Don't be. Go on that stage and sing just like you do for me."
"I-I don't know..." I said worriedly.
"You'll do perfect," a voice behind us said.
I turned around and it was Drew. "You're an awesome singer. What are you worrying about, Selena?"
"I don't know! It's just that... What would happen if I don't win and stuff? Then people will just go back to calling me ugly again," I explained.
"You're not ugly," Joey groaned. "You're beautiful."
"Thanks," I smiled.
"Well, I was just going to wish you luck, but I'm pretty sure you don't need it," Drew said.
"Well, just in case. But thanks," I smiled and gave Drew a hug.
"Alright. Joey and I will be sitting in the audience watching," Drew said and waved.
"It's okay if you don't win. If you don't, those judges don't know talent when they see it!" Joey smiled.
"Wish me luck?" I smiled nervously.
"Like Drew said, you won't need it," Joey nodded.
"Thanks," I smiled.
"How about I give you this for good luck instead?" he asked and kissed me.
"Alright, that's good enough," I smiled. "The show's starting soon. Go watch it and enjoy it."
"Do your best!" Joey flashed a white smile and went to take his seat in the auditorium.
I straightened out the wrinkles in my white dress. I had my hair in curls and had silver hoops on. I was so nervous I couldn't stand straight. I was shaking, listening to my bracelets make little colliding noises like one bracelet wants to be next to another one, but it's shaking it away.
"First act, come onstage. Show is starting in five!" someone yelled down the hall.
The first part of the show, it didn't bother me much. When the act before mine went, I started to freak out. I tried to calm myself down, but I just couldn't. You can do this, Selena. Just Breathe, I told myself.
"Last act, come onstage."
I went up the stairs and met one of the people on tech.
"Good luck out there, Sel," he said.
"How do you know my name?" I asked.
"One, it's on the paper, two, I'm Taylor A." he said.
"Taylor? Ohhh!" I laughed. "Well, thanks."
"Yep. You're going on in about a minute."
"Aw, that makes me feel much better," I groaned as my heart started pumping fast.
"Just go out there and prove to them that you're good. You'll do great," Taylor assured me.
"Thank you."
"Alright, go show them who should be in first," Taylor nodded.
"Our last act for today is the beautiful singer, Selena Gonzales who starred in Joey Parker's new music video, 'Dance With Me.' She will be singing 'My Heart Will Go On' by Celine Dion. Please welcome, Miss Selena Gonzales," the announcer announced.
This was it. This was the time for me to prove to everyone out there that I was strong. I wasn't the little weak girl that everyone tormented anymore.
I walked onstage, still shaking, and gave the signal to Taylor to start the music. It started and I started to sing. It was such a magical moment. I mean, when I started, I got clapping and hooting right away! This made me feel much better and I keep singing like normal. When I got to the famous part, it was getting wild. I looked over at Joey and Drew. They were clapping and smiling at me. I don't know a better way to express how I was feeling... All I could do was contiune singing and smiling. Suddenly, the room got really loud with clapping and everyone was standing, except for the judges.
I walked offstage and on the way, Taylor high-fived me.
"Oh, Taylor, I was just wondering, but what do you think of Taylor S.?" I asked.
"She's nice, pretty," Taylor shrugged.
"Do you like her?" I smirked.
"Don't tell her now," Taylor smiled. "Now my turn. Does she like me?"
"I don't know. I can't get her to admit it," I laughed.
"Well, I'm pretty sure you won. Now it's not a guarantee," Taylor nodded.
"Thanks," I smiled.
I walked out the door and I saw Cassandra, Taylor S., Joey and Drew waiting for me.
"Hey!" I greeted them.
"You did awesome!" Cassandra smiled.
"You got the whole audicence up on their feet!" Taylor nodded.
"You matched the notes exactly!" Joey hugged me.
"Thanks, you guys," I smiled.
"Do you want something to drink?" Joey asked me. "Those high notes must have dried up your throat."
"We'll come with you!" Taylor and Cassandra chased after him.
"Do you want one? You can go along with them," I said to Drew.
"No, it's fine," Drew shrugged. "You did really well."
"Thank you," I said.
"Yep," he sighed. "You'll get first."
"How are you guys all so sure?!" I asked. "Bringing my hopes up."
"Well, because you're good. Did you see all of those people standing?"
"What does that have to do with anything?" I protested.
"Ugh, just never mind. You'll see when that board with the results come on."
Someone tapped me on the shoulder and I whirled around to see Stefan.
"Oh, hi," I greeted him.
"You did good," Stefan smiled.
"I'll be back. I'll go check on what's taking them so long," Drew said and walked out of sight in the direction of the refreshments.
"WHere's Elena?" I asked.
"We broke up yesterday. I like someone else," he explained.
"Oh. Do you like Gabriella now?" I asked.
"No, someone way more beautiful," he smiled.
"Oh, well, good for you..." I said.
"I guess. I don't know if she likes me anymore though," Stefan shrugged.
"Well, there's only one way to find out right?" I replied.
"Right," he nodded. "Well, I need to go find Klaus and Matt. I'll see you later. After the results go up."
We said our byes and I was congratulated by other random people.
"Selena!"
I turned around and it was Skylar.
"What do you want Skylar?" I sighed.
"Hey, what's with the attitude?" he asked.
"Pff. You never talk to me. You only talk to me to tell me how ugly I look."
"Well, then."
"What do you want Skylar?"
"I just wanted to tell you that you did really good and you look beautiful in... that white dress..."
"Thank you." I said sarcastically.
"Well, I need to ask you something. Will you go out with me?" he asked hopefully.
"What?!" I asked surprised. "Why would I go out with you?"
"Because..."
"Okay let's see. You've called me trash, ugly, garbage.... all of those words and more. Two, all you ever did was push me down in the hall and laugh at me. Do you think I want to go out with you?" I frowned.
"Yes?"
"Oh Skylar. I already have a boyfriend thank you very much," I shook my head.
"Stefan?!"
"No."
"Who?!"
"Figure it out yourself," I said and walked away, leaving him there in awe.
I walked some more and I spotted Drew and Joey.
"Hey, where are Taylor and Cassandra?"
"Oh, hey," Drew looked at me. "Taylor and 'Sandra were going to meet you."
"I'll text them."
"You ready for the results?" Joey asked.
"Not really..." I replied texting Taylor.
"Well, you're due onstage in five minutes."
"Oh, well, wish me luck?" I said nervously.
"Alright. I'll see you guys after the show," I waved and left for the stage.
"Contestants, please go up on the stage for the results," the announcer called.
I ran up the stage and was joined by the other participates.
"Is everyone back from out there?!" the announcer asked. "Alright. Everyone did their very best.... But there can only be one person that is in the third, second and first place. Is everyone ready?"
We all nodded and wished each other luck.
"In third place, is the dancer, Kathrine Pecon. In second, is the musician, Nala Summers."
Everyone clapped for them and everyone else held their breaths. This was it. The moment where I really wanted to win. The moment that would change my life forever....
"And the first place winner is....."
Chapter 26: The Results for Joey
"In third place, is the dancer, Kathrine Pecon. In second is the musician Nala Summers."
Everyone was clapping. Then, the final result of the first place winner.
"And the first place winner is...."
Now, everyone was holding their breaths, waiting for the winner's name.
"Selena Gonzales!!!!!!!"
I watched as everyone started to scream and holler at her.
"Oh my gosh! She won!" Drew said
"I know!" I exclaimed.
"AHH! Sel won!" Taylor screamed.
"How do you feel, Miss Gonzales?"
"I don't even know how to explain it. It's such an amazing feeling," Selena said.
"Do you want to give shout outs to anyone here tonight?"
"Yes. I want to thank Taylor Swiss, for everything she's done for me. She has stuck up for me, and has been my best friend for so long. Also to Cassandra Juniper for being such a great friend. To Joey and Drew Parker for making me stand up here," she said.
"Alright, Taylor, Cassandra, Joey and Drew, come on up here!"
We started to head to the stage when Gabriella stopped us.
"Woah. Cassandra, you hung out with her?" she asked stunned.
"Yeah, so?"
"A friend of Cassandra's is a friend of mine! Let me be up there!" Gabriella screamed.
"Sorry Gabriella. I'm not your friend anymore so stop following me around."
"Some girl you are!" Gabriella yelled and stormed away.
We all just laughed it off and joined Selena onstage.
"OMG You won!" Taylor hugged Selena
"See we told you so," Drew smiled.
"Yeah! And you wouldn't believe us!" Cassandra said.
"Alright, my turn!" I smiled, and hugged Selena close. "Congratulations, Sel."
"Thank you," she whispered as I wiped the tears off her face.
"There's no reason to cry you know," I smiled.
"I know," she nodded.
"Congratulations, Selena," Drew said.
"Thanks," she said and hugged Drew.
"Alright, Selena, you should go meet the judges. Second and third place winners should go meet the judges also!" the announcer called.
"I can't believe she won!" Taylor A. said.
"I know!" Taylor S. squealed.
I walked over to the judges along with Selena.
"Hello, Ms. Gonzales. Congratulations on first place," one of the judges nodded at her.
"Thank you," she said.
"Your prize is a record deal," he explained. "The three of us watched the video and now the show, you have talent!"
"Thank you!" she smiled again.
"It is the same record deal as Joey's," he nodded at me. "You'll show her around there and stuff."
"Yes," I nodded.
"Good. Here is also a check of two hundred dollars," he shoved a check in her hands."What? Oh thank you so much!" she exclaimed.
"Congratulations again!" I smiled.
"Thank you, again."
"I never gave you your drink did I?" I asked.
"Nope, but that's okay," she shrugged.
"I'll get it for you," I said.
"Alright, thank you."
I went towards the refreshment table and saw that Drew was already there.
"Hey," he said.
"Hey," I replied."What you doing?"
"Getting something for Selena to drink and flowers for her," I explained.
"Pff. She made you a softie," he teased. "You used to be so harsh and stuff."
"She is not making me softer!" I protested.
"If I asked you what you doing and you guys aren't dating, you would have said, getting water duh, or none of your business."
"No, she's not changing me. She's changing my life. Not me!" I said.
"No. She's changing you and your life. Keep it up. It's good for you," Drew smirked and walked into the theather.
Was it true? I was turning too soft. Because of Selena? Whatever. I don't want to be harsh to Selena...
I hurriedly bought some roses. I went in the theather and gave Selena the water.
"Here, this is for you," I smiled and gave her the roses.
"Aw thank you!" Selena smiled and took them. "They're beautiful!"
"Glad you like them. And they are pretty. They reminded me of you," I nodded.
"Aw, thank you, Joey. For everything," she said and kissed me.
"Come on, let's go join the group over there," I pointed to Taylor, and the others.
Chapter 27: Tour News and Another Chance for Drew
"Hey, I need to talk to you," Joey whispered in my ear.
"Yeah?"
"No, in private," he said.
"Fine. Be right back guys!" I called to the group as Joey pulled my arm and lead me outside.
"What is it?" I frowned.
"This is serious!" he hissed.
"What is it?" I demanded.
"Angie just called about going on tour. I need some new songs and..." Joey stopped.
"Oh, I see where you're getting at. You're worried about Selena aren't you?"
"Yeah," he nodded.
"How does this invole me exactly?"
"I need help writing songs and I never thought I'd ask you this... But, I need you to watch Selena for me," Joey sighed.
"I see you," I smirked. "Joey's in love..."
"Be quiet, Drew! This is serious. And yeah, I do love her, but she might break up with me..." he said worriedly.
"If she does, trust me. I'll watch over her," I promised.
"Thank you."
"See? What is she doing? I need to ask her!" I smiled.
"What?"
"You're being nice to me," I replied and then he hit me. "HEY!"
"Be quiet!"
"Fine, geez. How are you going to break it to her?"
"I said be quiet!" he hissed.
"Fine. Geez. But-"
"SHHH!"
"But-"
"Silence!"
"Fine."
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
Joey, Selena, Juli and I were at my house. Selena and Joey were together and Juli and I were together in one room. No, it's not what it sounds like. Well, I don't know about them.... but Juli and I were just talking.
"So?" I asked.
"So what?"
"Why do so many girls pick Joey over me?"
"Oh. About that... Selena isn't much help. She's just... like, I guess she's figuring stuff out because when I said your name, I saw something in her eye. Like a shock or something. Or relief that I wasn't dating you or something..." Juli answered.
"What about the past girls?"
"They said to be famous. Pff. Selena's a different girl. She doesn't care about fame. She's about love and trust. I can tell," Juli said sternly.
"See? I told you. Selena's different!" I exclaimed.
"Yeah, I believe you now. I can't believe you found someone like her. I think you should ask her out again when the time's right. Like after the tour and everything."
"Speaking of the tour, do you think I should sing this or let Joey sing this one?" I asked and started to strum to it and sang it.
"I know it's short, but," I shrugged when I was finished.
"It's so sweet!" Juli cried and wiped off a tear.
"Well? Joey or me?"
"Well, it's not Joey's style that everyone is used to. Everyone thinks pop when Joey's name comes up. So I think you should do it. Excuse me," she said and went out in the hall.
I sighed. What if Selena pushed me away again? She'll feel that I'm desperate. But, what if she doesn't break up with Joey?! I thought. She loves him... I can't ignore that fact... But Juli, she just said that Selena felt something at my name. Was it love? Or was it friendship? Maybe even both... But what's the truth? Did Selena get her feelings messed up for me? Did you mistaken Joey for me?
I banged my head against the wall. Ugh! Why and when did I think like this? Joey's happy with her. I shouldn't be stealing his girl, even if he stole her first. I had a feeling of stealing her back, but I didn't know how. How would I make this all work out?
Chapter 28: The First Date for Selena
"So want to meet up somewhere tonight? It doesn't have to be an expensive fancy place," Joey asked me.
"Sure. It will be our first date together," I smiled.
"Great, do you want to go to the Chinese Buffet? I heard that that place was good," Joey suggested.
"Yeah, that will be great! So what time should I show up?"
"How about six tonight? I'll pick you up from your house."
"Okay, I can't wait!" I exclaimed.
"Alright, and me either," Joey smiled and pulled me closer to him.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"No! Come back!" I yelled chasing the dog that my mom was helping watch for my neighbors that were on vacation.
"Chase, get back here!" my mom called.
Chase dropped the pillow and ran into the kitchen.
"Eww," I groaned picking up the pillow with my thumb and index finger and I threw it on the couch.
"Mom, I need a new pillow," I called to her.
"I'll get you one after your date with Joey," she said.
"Alright, thank you!"
"Now stay safe out there!" she shouted.
"Thank you!" I called and opened the door to see Joey all ready and standing by his car.
"You look beautiful," he smiled and quickly kissed me.
"Thank you," I smiled and kissed him back.
"Ready?" he asked me, opening the door to his car for me.
"Yes, thank you," I nodded and climbed in the car.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"Just ignore them," Joey whispered in my ear as serveral magazine employees came up to Joey and me.
"Joey Parker! Joey Parker! Over here!" someone called out as we entered the restaurant.
"Two," Joey nodded at the waitress.
"You all will have to go if you are not eating," she called to the others behind us.
She lead us to a table and asked what we would like to drink. Then, Joey and I went up and got our plates of food.
"This is good!" I said as I bit into the honey chicken.
"Yeah, Drew was right," Joey chuckled.
"Wow, I love this place!" I laughed.
"Good."
We ate and talked about a lot of things. Things that can be random, and sometimes just to get to know each other better.
"Ugh, I'm so full," I groaned as we left the restaurant.
"Me too," Joey nodded.
"We should do this again!" I smiled. "It was so fun!"
"Y-yeah," he heistated.
"Hey, is something wrong?" I asked with concern.
"I'll tell you later."
"You can tell me now."
"No, later okay?"
"Okay," I said sadly.
What was bothering him? What was it that it had to wait?
The radio was playing and then, a certain song came up.
"Hey! This is 'Dance With Me!"' I smiled as it started to pour.
"Sure is," he smiled back and turned it up. "You're in it."
"Singing?" I asked alarmed.
"Yeah and you sound great."
I cringed when it came to my part. "Ugh, I'm off aren't I?"
"No, you're fine," Joey shook his head as he parked his car.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yeah, trust me."
"Thanks," I smiled.
He stopped the car, and opened the door for me.
"Well, thanks for the date," I smiled.
"You're welcome," he smiled back and pulled me in for a kiss.
Kissing in the rain, especially with Joey Parker. Any girl would love a chance to kiss in the rain, but by a famous celebrity? Even better. So I kissed back, my eyes flutter closed, and he pulled me in closer and deepened the kiss, with his hands in my hair.
"I love you," he said in between kisses.
"I love you too," I replied as we looked into each others eyes.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"Hello?"
"Sel? It's me, Joey," he said carefully.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Remember when you asked and I said I'll tell you later? Well, it's later."
"Tell, me Joey," I said.
"I'm-I'm going on tour... tomorrow..."
At first, it didn't sound like anything was wrong, but then I realized that we were going to have a long distance relationship if we contiune dating...
"What? Why did you just tell me now?" I asked.
"I just learned today too. So..."
"How long are you going to be gone?"
"About three months," he replied.
I felt like crying right then. "Oh..."
"Do you want to break up? It's okay..."
"I don't know!" I cried.
"Selena," he pleaded. "Don't cry on me please. I got you a ticket for the first show. We'll talk about this tomorrow okay?"
"Okay," I sobbed. "Bye."
I didn't want a long distance relationship, but I loved Joey... What should I decide?
Chapters 29: Tour Day One for Joey
"Selena," I called as I went up to the brown haired figure in front of me.
Selena hugged me tight and cried into my shoulder. "I don't know what to do!" she cried.
"It's okay, we still have until tomorrow," I said.
"Tomorrow is in, like, thirteen hours," she groaned.
"It's okay, Selena. We can do long distance if you want. It will be hard, but..." I shrugged.
"Alright, Ms. Gonzales," Angie frowned. "Mr. Parker needs to get in his position. So do you."
"Okay, Angie," I nodded. "Selena?"
Selena let go of me and went over to Drew.
We were rehearsing for tonight's concert and Selena was getting worse by the minute. I've called her and told her about the tour, and she's not taking it really well... I don't blame her though. It's a really hard decision though. Either to be in a long distance relationship or we may have to break up. We might just have to break up so that she won't be so stressed out. I hate seeing her like this...
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
The lights darken as the dancers and I take our positions. The music came on, and the lights came on. This was it. The start of the tour. I sang and watched Selena in the front row. Each song passed by and all of them was the exact feeling that I had every time it involves Selena.
"All right everybody!" I said in the microphone. "This next song, I believe you all know it. It's called 'Just That Girl.' I'm singing this song only on this concert so you guys are lucky. Alright, but I want to sing this to one specific girl in this crowd right here. You know who you are." I smiled and the music came on once again.
That girl was Selena. I was singing to her. I saw her smile and cover her hands over her mouth in surprise.
"Selena," I said after the song ended. "Dance With Me."
Selena just smiled and walked onstage while the audience cheered really loudly. "Thank you," she nodded to me.
"You're welcome," I whispered to her as the music started and we were singing and dancing together. At the end, the crowd was shouting and chanting, "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!"
"Thanks for getting me up here," Selena said as we hugged instead.
"No problem. You deserve to practice and you're so good at singing and dancing," I explained.
"Okay guys," Selena announced to the audience. "So I was in my school talent show a few days ago. I wanted to sing it for you guys. It's called, 'My Heart Will Go On,' by Celine Dion. After I'm done, you guys can guess what place I got in, 'kay?"
I walked down from the stage and sat in Selena's former seat, but was instantly thrown books and pens at. I signed a couple of them, but not all because I wanted to hear Selena sing for the last time in months. The familiar music came up and the spot light went on Selena's shining face. Her smile made the room even brighter. I smiled as she performed and then realized that I was going to miss her beauty and her comfort. I suddenly knew why she kept crying and couldn't stand to be separated.
I walked up on the stage and hugged her after the song ended.
She hugged back.
"Ladies and gentlemen, Selena Gonzales!" I shouted out to the audience, who were screaming and cheering. "Alright, that was the last performance, but you guys are lucky to have Ms. Selena here tonight. Thank you all for being here and I hope you enjoyed the start off to the big tour! Thanks, guys!"
I lead Selena to backstage while the crew congratulated us. I took Selena to my dressing room.
"What are we doing here?" she asked.
"Have you decided?" I asked.
"I think that we should break up though. I don't want to do it though. I mean, I love you, Joey. I really do," she said as she held my hand.
"I don't want to lose you," I explained.
"I don't either," she started to cry.
"Shh," I hushed. "I love you and that's all that matters right?"
She nodded and I pulled her in for the final kiss.
"Bye, Joey," she sobbed, and ran out the door.
I couldn't believe that we were done just because of some stupid tour. Why did Angie schele a tour now? Why couldn't she do it later?! I slammed my fists on the nearest table to me.
"Ugh! Why is this happening to me?!" I shouted to no one.
The door opened and it was Juliana.
"Hey, something wrong?" she asked.
"I had to dump Selena because of the tour," I groaned.
"Oh, I'm sorry," she frowned.
"It's okay, I guess..." I growled.
"No, it's not. You've changed ever since you guys met. There's something about her, right?"
"Yeah, I guess...Hey, why are you here? Didn't you go back home?" I thought she had left a few days ago.
"Well, I was going to," she explained. "Then, Drew asked me to stay for the tour kick off."
"Oh..."
"You really do love her don't you?" Juli asked.
"Yes. I do, but I wish we didn't have the stupid tour."
"Yeah... I know what you mean..."
"Thanks for talking to me though..." I said.
"No problem. I have to go... Good luck on the rest of the tour," Juli waved as she went out the door.
So this is what it feels like to break up with someone who really stole your heart.
Chapter 30: The Breakup for Selena
It hurt. I've never hurt this badly. Joey and I broke up last night, but it's driving me crazy. I guess I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to date a huge celebrity, but still. I just couldn't stand the fact that we weren't together anymore. I wanted to see Drew, but I kind of didn't at the same time. He would remind me of Joey. I just needed someone to talk to. Taylor was busy and couldn't talk. I didn't have anyone else to turn to. No one to talk to about anything... I just wanted to talk to Joey again. I missed him more than ever. I wanted to be in his arms. I wanted to be with him.
''Selena!" my mom yelled up the stairs. "You're going to be late! Hurry up!"
I glanced at the clock that read: six-thirty. I sighed and got up for school. I slung my bag over my shoulder and walked outside. It was all gloomy like that one day when Drew was upset about Joey going to school. I knew that instant that something was going to happen today, something unusual. I kept walking with my head down, walking as fast as I could, as I passed Drew's house.
"Selena! Wait," Drew's voice called.
The tears broke the wall and started swarming my face. I walked faster.
"Selena," Drew said as he caught up to me.
I shook his hand away as he tried to get me to look at him. I couldn't.
"Selena... Please look at me," he pleaded as I walked past him.
"Please stop ignoring me."
"I can't, Drew. Okay? I can't. I-I..." I tried, but failed. I started to burst into tears.
"Selena, Selena," Drew whispered as he hugged me close.
"I-I..."
"Shh, I know, you miss him," he said. "Just let it all out."
I did. I cried and cried. All of the little tears ran down my face like warriors in battle racing to the other side. I picked up my head and frowned.
"Thanks, but you're shirt's drenched, again," I pointed out, still wiping my face.
"No, it's okay. It'll dry soon enough," Drew shrugged.
"You sure?" I asked.
"Yeah, now let's go," he answered and we started walking in the direction of the school.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
In every class that I used to share with Joey made me think of him, and only made me feel even lonelier. I always tend to look over at his seat, smiling about something, but then I realized that he was gone on that tour. I put my head down on the desk and sighed. Everything felt so quiet and boring without Joey here. Class was boring. I didn't have anyone to crack jokes with anymore in the most boring class ever. I haven't had so much fun in so long. Joey always cheered me up and made me smile. No one else made me feel as special as Joey does. I glanced up at the teacher and tried to hide the evidence that I was texting during class. I gave Joey a quick text asking if we could video chat after school. He must have been super busy because he didn't respond.
I just had to get through the rest of the day until I get to see Joey. I smiled at the idea. I hurriedly got to work and threw my backpack aside.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"Hey," said the familar voice and the warm and familar smile showed up.
"Joey! I missed you!" I smiled.
"I missed you too, Selena," Joey said.
"How's the tour thing going?" I asked.
"Ehhh," Joey shrugged. "It would be a whole lot better if you were here."
"Aw I just want to kiss you right now!" I laughed.
Joey laughed too. I loved hearing his laugh. "So how are you?"
"You have no idea how she's been," Drew said from behind me.
"Tell me how's she's been!" Joey nodded.
"Crying all day about you!" Drew smirked.
"Really?" Joey asked.
"Drenched my shirt," Drew looked at me.
Joey did a playful gasp. "No."
"Yeah she did," they laughed.
"Aw come on guys..." I could feel my face flaming hot.
"Aw, well, Angie expanded the tour to about four months..." Joey sighed.
"What?!" I asked, surprised.
"Yeah..." Joey clenched his teeth. "I knew you were going to do this," he whispered.
"Three months?" I screamed.
"It's not my fault!" Joey protested. "Selena..."
"Sorry, I have to go," I said and I ran out of the room.
"Selena!" I heard Joey call from behind.
Wasn't three months enough?! Now they add another thirty days?! I can't stand it anymore. Why is it four months? I missed Joey already. I can't stand to be away from him for four months! I can't do this anymore. I just can't.
Chapter 31: Taking Care of Selena for Drew
"Selena!" Joey called and groaned. "Great."
"I'll get her. You better come back soon or else," I shook my head as I pressed end.
"Selena!" I yelled as I caught up to her. "Wait!"
I ran and caught up to her. "Selena, wait!"
"I can't do this anymore Drew! I hate the way I love him so much, but he's so far away from me," she cried.
"Selena," I groaned. "Just stop! Wait!"
I finally caught up with her outside and I grabbed her by the arms.
"Stop Selena!" I pleaded.
"Drew, just let me go, please," she said and tried to pass me.
"No, listen!" I called to her.
"No, Drew. I can't stand it, okay? I'm going home."
"Selena, stop fighting me!"
"Just let me go Drew!" she cried and I was taken back.
"Selena, look at me," I said. "I'll never let you go. No matter what. I'm sorry that you love Joey and that he had to leave for the tour. I'm sorry that you miss him and there's nothing you can do about it. I'm not sorry that I love you. I'm not sorry that I love you enough to stop you from hurting yourself. I'm never going to let that go. I'm never going to love anyone the way I love you."
And I kissed her.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
The next day, Selena wasn't so bad, but she's still progressing. I was kind of hurt that she loved Joey so much. It didn't really matter to the other half of me because I get to spend time with her without Joey in the way for four months! I shouldn't be selfish. I grabbed my phone and it was Taylor calling.
"Hey," Taylor's voice said.
"What's up?"
"Nothing really. Hey, how's Selena coming along?" he asked.
"I'm not sure. She's not that over it, but she's coming along," I shrugged.
"I need help," he told me. "I'm having weird feelings..."
"About?"
"Taylor..."
"You like Taylor Swiss?!" I gasped.
"What? I never said that!" Taylor protested.
"Man, I told you when I like Selena, but you won't tell me what's going through your mind?" I frowned.
"Well, I think so. She's beautiful... funny..."
"Okay, I get it!" I shook my head.
"There's something about her..."
"I get it! I got to go. Call you later," I said and hung up.
Taylor likes Taylor. That's so funny though. They're both named Taylor. So, apparently, I love Selena. Joey loves Selena. Selena loves Joey. How am I going to make sure she doesn't break down again, or worse...
Chapter 32: The Record Deal for Selena
I was still really upset that Joey was going to be gone for another month. The person that really healed me was Drew. I don't know what's going on anymore. Something's happening that I'm not even sure of.
"Hi, I'm Selena Gonzales," I said to the receptionist. "I'm here from the talent show."
"Ah yes. Right this way," she frowned and lead me to an office.
Geez, is everyone like this?
"Come in," the voice from behind the door.
I went inside and was greeted by a man sitting in a chair, facing the window.
"Ms. Gonzales, congratulations and I'm happy you are going to work here in Bright Stars Records. I know that's a lousy name, but we're a great company!"
Just then, a scream came from next door.
"Uh, pretend you didn't hear that. Anyways, I hope you continue working with us, and I'll have someone show you around," Mr. Tunnels said, grabbing the phone and dialing a number.
"Alright, thank you," I got up and started for the door.
"Ms. Gonzales, your agent will be waiting in the lobby."
I walked up to a familiar looking woman. "Angie?"
"Sorry, you must be mistaking me for my twin sister! I'm Sophie," the woman smiled.
"Oh... well.. hi," I said.
"Haha, you're a cute one!" she exclaimed. "Shall we start a little tour?"
Sophie took me around the place and showed me everything and we went out for little snack to chat and talk to get to know each other.
I sure hope that they won't make me go on tour for four months like Joey did.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"Do you like it?" Sophie asked me.
"I love it!" I smiled.
"Great! Practice it and whenever you're ready, we'll record it!" Sophie nodded and gave me the papers of the new song I had.
Sophie was so nice! Compared to her sister, she was super nice! Sophie didn't push me to do things. She hasn't yelled at anyone yet. Good huh?
I walked out to the lobby on the way home, and saw Drew.
"Hey," I smiled.
"Hey, so you found this place huh?"
"Yeah. Yesterday actually..."
"Oh, well, you got a song yet? Who's your agent slash manger?"
"Sophie. Angie's sister. Twin sister," I raised my eyebrow. "Just like someone in front of me...."
Drew gasped. "Just like me!"
"Really?"
"I'm just kidding!" Drew laughed.
"You better be!" I laughed too.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
A few days later, I was recording the new song already.
"Let's go girls," a familiar voice called when I got out of the recording studio.
"Gabriella?" I asked.
"Oh, hi Selena," Gabriella frowned.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I work here," she said like it was so obvious.
"You do?"
"Actually, my mom does, but I'll be here soon,'' she walked away with Ashley and some other girl.
I shrugged and walked over to Sophie. "What do you think?" I asked.
"That was perfect! I'll get it and turn it in for you, 'kay? Now, you can go enjoy the beautiful weather and hang out with your friends."
"Alright! Thank you so much!" I smiled as I ran out the door and met up with Drew, Taylor, and Cassandra at Twistars.
Chapter 33: The Surprise That Lead to a Tragic Event for Drew
"Are you sure you're ready?" I asked, uncertain.
"Yeah, I think so," she nodded.
"Okay..."
I was worried about her. Selena can run off again, just like last time. She misses Joey so badly that it makes her run away. I was scared that she could run off and hurt herself.
We were in my living room, getting ready to watch Joey's concert in New York City. I wasn't scared of that. I was scared for the video chat tonight at eleven PM. Because of that, she was sleeping over.
"Come on. What do you want to eat?" I asked her, opening the fridge.
"I don't know. What is there?" she asked, walking towards me.
"Let's cook something," I winked at her.
"And what shall we cook, Chef Drew?" she smiled.
"You'll see," I said, and took out the ingredients.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"This is so good!" she smiled as she ate a pasta noodle.
"Thank you, and you should thank yourself," I nodded. "You helped."
"Well, you showed me what to do!" she protested.
"Whatever," I laughed.
We ate and once we finished, I glanced at the clock and hurriedly cleaned up. It was six and the show started at seven. We still had an hour to talk and do whatever.
"Hey!" Selena laughed as I thrust my soapy hands at her, soap flying towards her.
"Got you!" I laughed along.
"That's no fair!" she said and did the same.
Soon enough, we were a little wet and we finally calmed down and did the dishes.
"Alright," Selena smiled, wiping her hands on a dishtowel. "What are we going to do now?"
"Come on, let's go," I said and lead her to the computer where the concert was going to be filmed just for us.
"Are you excited?" I asked.
"Yeah, and kind of nervous."
"Ladies and Gentleman, Joey Parker!" the announcer said, which created a whole lot of screaming.
"Hey everybody!" Joey shouted. "How are you all tonight? We are going to start off this concert with 'Simply Changing.'"
The concert went on. I would glance at Selena, and she would be crying. I wouldn't blame her. She misses him. The one that made her feel like a somebody special. Then, it came to the part where she was starting a storm.
"So the next four songs, is about a certain girl you guys may know. She's special, beautiful, and the nicest person I've ever met. The first one I want to sing is 'Just That Girl.' This special girl will be appearing on the screen above here, when the last song comes up. So Mystery Girl, I'm pretty sure you know who you are," Joey smiled.
I knew it was Selena. Joey won't stop talking about her. She's special to him too. I could totally tell. He sang "Just That Girl," "Dance With Me," "New Classic," and finally, "Beautiful."
Then, the Mystery Girl was revealed to be obviously us. Well, Selena. Not me.
"Selena Gonzales everybody!" Joey shouted.
Selena started crying. I hugged her.
"Thank you all for coming! Good night, New York City!" Joey smiled.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"Thank you so much, Joey," Selena sobbed. "That was really nice of you."
"You're welcome," Joey nodded. "I would do anything for you. Drew would too."
"Thank you!" she smiled to both of us.
"No problem," I said.
"So, how's life over there?" Joey asked.
"I didn't know that Drew could cook!" she gasped.
"He sure can," Joey nodded.
"Anything new about the tour?" I asked.
"No," he shrugged.
"Hey, Joey," a voice came up.
"Oh, Rose," he said, nervously.
"Who are you talking to?" she asked.
"My friend, Selena, and my.... cousin, Drew," Joey explained. "Guys, this is Rose McKenna. She's one of the dancers."
"Hi," she waved, and I saw Selena flinch.
"Hey, I recognize you!" Rose pointed to Selena. "You were that girl that I saw at the studio!"
"You were with Gabriella," she remarked.
"Yeah," Rose nodded. "Gabriella is a real good friend of mine."
Joey looked like he was about to burst out laughing. I was too. Gabriella? A good friend. I don't think so.
"Well, I better get back to the crew. I'll see you later, Joey," Rose smiled and pulled Joey in for a kiss.
I was in shock, and Selena started crying again, tears of betrayal this time.
"NO! Selena! Not again!" I groaned as Selena took off.
"Rose!" Joey yelled. "Selena!!"
"Sorry, I'll be right back," I called and ran after Selena.
I ran down the stairs, went through the opened-wide door and ran outside.
"SELENA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I cried in disbelief at the sight I saw next.
(Thank you to FamousPartyGirll for this awesome idea!)
Chapter 34: The Strange Accident for Selena
I woke up to the sound of beeping noises. I opened my eyes to see Taylor, Joey and Drew surrounding my bed, all sound asleep. There was white everywhere with little random splats of color. I tried moving my hand, but one was being held by Taylor, and one was being held by Drew.
"Selena's going to be okay right?" Joey muttered in his sleep.
"Huh? Selena?" Drew asked, awake.
I tried to talk, but couldn't. I was confused. Why can't I talk?
"Guys! She's awake!" Drew said excitedly.
"Wha?" Taylor woke up. "Selena!"
"Joey! She's awake!" Drew shook him.
"What? She's okay right?!" Joey's eyes were wide awake.
"Calm down. She's awake!" Taylor frowned.
"Do you remember us?" Drew asked.
I couldn't say anything.... So there was this silence, kind of.
"Selena, do you remember us?" Joey asked this time.
I really wanted to say yes, when I wiggled my hand free from Drew's grip to give them a thumbs up.
"She remembers us!" Taylor said excitedly.
"Why can't she talk?!" Joey asked panicky.
"Can you talk, Sel?" Taylor asked.
I gave them a shrug.
"Try to say our names," Drew suggested.
I opened my mouth and tried to get my voice to work, but I ended up just mouthing them.
"Why can't she talk?!" they all asked.
"Wait," I croaked.
"She talked!" they all said, their eyes widened.
"How did I get here?"
"Well, first of all, you've been sleeping here for five days. We thought you were a goner!" Taylor rushed on.
"Five days?" I asked.
"Yeah."
"You were hit by a car," Drew explained. I could see that he had been crying. "I went after you to catch you from running out at night, when I reached the front door, you were on the ground!"
"I heard Drew yell your name. Drew came running inside looking for his phone. I asked him what was wrong and he said that you were hit by a car, and I delayed the tour to get here. You were lucky you didn't break anything. Just hit your head," Joey explained.
"Wow," I said.
"So you're okay right?" Taylor asked.
"Yeah," I tried to nod, but I couldn't. My whole body felt numb. Every inch of my body was limb and tired. I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. Next thing I knew, everything went pitch-black.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"Selena," a voice called.
I woke up to Drew's voice. He was sleep talking. I smiled. He was so sweet. He was like a brother that I never had. It was so nice of him to look out for me. I looked around for Joey and I didn't see him.
"Drew?" I said, as I tried to move my hand.
"Huh?" Drew bolted up awake. "Oh, Selena! I'm glad you're okay!"
"Of course I'm okay. Why wouldn't I be?" I asked.
"You were out for another few days, I was getting worried," Drew explained.
"Thanks for looking out for me," I said to Drew. "You're always there for me."
"No problem. I'll always be there for you, remember?" Drew smiled.
I looked around and I saw that a bunch of the braces were off. My body didn't hurt that bad anymore.
"Where's Joey?" I asked.
"He had to go get food with Cassandra, Taylor and Taylor," he answered.
"Why didn't you go too?"
"Because I didn't want to leave you here," Drew explained. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm good right now. How much longer until I get to go home?" I asked.
"I'm not sure. Your mom was here yesterday," Drew mentioned.
"Oh."
"She's worried about you. She'll be here soon," Drew told me.
I smiled. "Alright."
"Hey, so are you hungry?" Drew asked.
"No, I'm good, actually," I frowned.
Drew laughed and the others came in and when I saw Joey, I remembered why I got hit in the first place. I no longer had feelings for him. He loved someone else. I remembered that I was heartbroken. I remembered that I ran and suddenly something hit me. There weren't any lights... The headlights must have been broken. That's why I didn't see anything when I ran. I froze in terror as the event replayed in my mind.
"Selena?!"
"Is she okay?"
Then it felt real.
Chapter 35: Selena's Recovery for Drew
Selena started staring into space with widened eyes. She started to freak out and I felt her hands shaking.
"Selena?!" I started to panic.
"Is she okay?" Joey asked.
"What's wrong?" Taylor asked.
"She's shaking!" I exclaimed as Selena started to tighten her grip on my hands. "Selena!"
"Oh my god! Selena!" Joey rushed to her side and hugged her close.
"Selena! Wake up!" Taylor shook her.
Selena still staring into space we all tried to wake her up, when I looked over at the monitor and it was going crazy. The triangular lines were so close together!
"What's happening?!" I asked.
"I don't know! I'm not a doctor! Do I look like a doctor?!" Taylor cried.
"She's breathing really fast!" Joey announced, still hugging Selena, trying to get her to calm down.
"What's going on?" a nurse asked rushing in.
"She's shaking and breathing really fast!" Taylor explained.
"I'll get the doctor!" she hurriedly ran out.
"I'll take care of her. You all need to go now," the man in the white coat told us as the nurse lead us all out.
"I hope she's going ot be okay," Taylor said.
"I think she was having flashbacks about that night," Cassandra piped up.
That made me remember what Joey did that night.
"Hey!" I yelled at Joey.
"What?" Joey backed away.
"Why would you do that?! You knew Selena still loved you!" I shouted in the parking lot.
"DId what?" Joey asked confused.
"You kissed that one girl over the video chat! That's what made Selena run away!"
"What?!" Joey said. "I didn't kiss Rose! She kissed me!''
"You broke her heart!"
"I-Listen. I love Selena. No one else. She is the one and only!" Joey protested.
"Then what about the Rose girl?" I asked.
"Rose was trying to get to me, that's all!"
"Let Selena be the judge of that," I frowned and walked back into the hospital to wait for Selena.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"Sorry, I was..."
"No, it's okay! Just rest for now," I said.
"Where did everyone else go?" Selena asked.
"Taylor and Cassandra had to go run on an errand. Joey left..."
"He left?" she asked in disbelief.
"Yeah..."
"Why??"
"I don't know."
"Wait! Did you guys have a fight again?" she sighed. "You did didn't you? What was it about this time?"
"... Don't worry about me, Selena. You're the one in the hospital!" I said quickly.
"I'm fine, Drew," Selena sighed.
"No, you were freaking out and staring in space!" I protested. "You should be worrying about yourself."
There was a knock at the door and I opened it. Taylor and Cassandra stood there with their gifts. That meant I had to go get my gift.
"Come in," I smiled.
"Hey, Sel," Cassandra said and gave Selena her gift to her.
"Aww, thanks you guys!" Selena smiled and that was one of the first time I've seen her real smile ever since the accident.
"I have to go for a little. Sorry, Selena," I apoloigized.
"It's okay, Drew. You desevere to go out and do whatever. You were always here, so I understand if you have to go somewhere," she replied.
"Thanks," I nodded to Selena and went ahead to the flower shop. I bought her some flowers and bought a card. Inside, I wrote:
Dear Selena,
I know you know this already, but I will do anything for you. If you ever need something, I will always there for you. You are the one I love, even if you don't love me back. Get well soon, Selena. I have a surprise for you when you get better.
Love,
Drew
I brought it to Selena and she loved them. It was so good to see her smiling again.
Chapter 36: Selena's Accident for Joey
I was running through that night through my mind. I was so happy talking to Selena. Then Rose had to come in and kiss me. That was what made Selena run away. It made Selena run and get hurt. I hated the idea that it was my fault that she got hit. I didn't want to believe it. I pushed Rose away and waited for Drew to come back. I heard Drew scream Selena's name. I was starting to get worried when Drew ran in and was franticly looking for something. A phone. When Drew told me the reason. Selena was hit by a car. I told Angie to delay the show to go see if Selena was okay. Thank god she was. I visited her right away, but she was out for five days. Drew was freaking out, really bad. I was freaking out too. I couldn't blame him.
Then, I went to Drew's house and called Juli. She may not be my best friend, but she was easy to talk to.
"Hello?"
"Hey Juli," I said.
"Joey? Is something wrong?" she asked.
"Selena's in the hospital!" I blurted.
"What?! How?"
I told her what I knew. I told her how I felt guilty about it. Then, Drew texted me.
"Aw, send her my good well wishes, 'kay? I got to go."
"Alright. Thanks for listening Juli."
"I'm always here for anyone!" Juli said and we hung up.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"Hey, Joey," Gabriella smiled sweetly.
"What do you want Gabriella?" I groaned.
"Did you know that Selena's in the hospital? It's such a terrible thing isn't it?"
"Yes," I said flatly.
"Hey, I am in a play and I need to kiss this one guy. I need practice. Mind helping me?" Gabriella asked all innocent.
"Sorry, I can't," I frowned. I can't kiss anyone else. Selena's already heart broken enough.
"Why not?" she asked.
"Because, I hurt Selena enough. Now leave me alone." I turned around and Gabriella kissed me.
What is with everyone kissing me?!
"Thanks, Joey!" she called. "That was good wasn't it?"
"Yes," I groaned. I didn't want to get kissed again. "I'm leaving."
I ran towards my car and wiped my mouth from Gabriella's lipstick. I then drove to the hospital. I went into the lobby and into the elevator up to the level that Selena was at. When I opened the door to the room, I was pushed to the ground, and someone punched me. Hard.
Chapter 37: The Fight Between The Brothers for Selena
I was heartbroken when I saw that picture. It reminded me of what had happened that night. And yes I was crying. I was upset and it told me what it had told me when I saw what was happening that night.
I could finally stand, though I got dizzy really easily. There was a knock on the door while I was going to stand. When Drew opened the door, I heard a thump.
"THAT'S WHAT YOU GET!!!" Drew yelled.
"Drew!" Cassandra cried.
"Woah!" Taylor gasped. "That's gonna leave a mark."
"What's going on?" I asked as I tried to get up as fast as I could. I gasped at what I saw. "Drew!"
"He deserves worse!" Drew growled as he lifted his fist again.
"No!" us three girls cried.
"Stop, you guys!" I pleaded as I made my way over there. "You guys are going to hurt each other!"
"What was that for?!" Joey yelled.
"Oh you know! You're a stupid jerk!" Drew yelled.
"I don't even know what I did!" Joey protested, picking up the bouquet of flowers.
"You're an idiot! How could you do that to her?!" Drew yelled.
"Drew! You're in a hospital!" Taylor reminded him, holding him back with Cassandra.
"I don't care! He hurt Selena!" Drew tried to pull himself closer to Joey.
"Stop Drew!" I cried as I walked between the two brothers.
"Selena! It's okay!" Joey said from behind. "I don't want you to get hurt."
"Oh she's already really hurt!" Drew yelled.
"Drew!!" Taylor and Cassandra snapped.
"I don't even know what I did wrong!" Joey frowned.
"Alright, stand up pretty boy," Cassandra told Joey as she and Taylor took Drew outside of my hospital room.
Joey stood and watched Drew fight Taylor and Cassandra. I sighed. Drew was nice enough to look out for me, and now he's beating up his brother for me? That was really nice of him, but I wouldn't ever want anyone to get hurt!
"What is he beating me up for?" he asked.
I stayed silent. I was heartbroken. I didn't want to talk about it. I didn't want to believe it. I thought he loved me. Apparently not.
"Selena? What's wrong?" Joey asked.
I stayed silent. I walked over to the bed and sat down. He sat next to me and held my hand.
"Tell me what's wrong Selena!" he pleaded. "I want to know what's hurting you!"
"I can't believe you..." I whispered.
"What? What did I do?"
"If you loved her, why did you go out with me?" I started to cry.
"What are you talking about?" Joey asked, hugging me.
"I- I can't Joey." I tried to get away from his hug.
"Why can't you Selena? What's wrong with you?!"
"You kissed a different girl! That's what!" Taylor said.
"What? What are you talking about?" Joey asked, confused.
"You know Joey! You know that Selena loves you! How could you do such a thing?!" Taylor narrowed her eyes.
"Of course I know that. I love her too! What are you guys talking about?" Joey demanded.
"Oh sure you do!" Cassandra fought back.
"Listen, Clueless," Drew said. "You kissed Gabriella. Doesn't that ring a bell?"
"Wha- wait! I didn't kiss Gabriella. She kissed me!" Joey protested.
"That's funny," Taylor raised her eyebrow. "Because there's a picture of you kissing Gabriella."
"Why would you go after her?" Drew asked.
"I- Listen. You guys have to believe me! She kissed me. You believe me don't you Selena?!"
I stayed silent. I could no longer trust him. I could no longer love him.
Chapter 38: I Just Lost The One Person I Love Most for Joey
"I- Listen! You guys have to believe me! She kissed me. You believe me don't you Selena?!" I shouted.
I looked over at Selena, waiting for her to say yes. I was desperate. Everyone was against me, saying that I kissed Gabriella. I didn't! Why was everyone against me?! Also, how did they know?
"Selena? Please say you believe me!" I pleaded.
"Why do you guys think this anyways? What's your proof?" I demanded.
"This," Drew held up his phone. It was a picture of Gabriella kissing me.
"Where did you get this?" I asked.
"Ashley sent it to me."
"And you believe her?" I was surprised. My own little brother didn't believe me.
"We can't help it. You kissed Rose, and now Gabriella. Who next?" Taylor asked.
"Selena," I pleaded. "You have to believe me!"
Her eyes were red, and tears trickled down her face.
"Please Selena!"
Drew went over next to her and hugged her tight. "You can go now."
"Selena!" I called as Taylor and Cassandra lead me towards the door. "I love you! I didn't kiss any of these girls! Please believe me! I love you! And only you!"
They slammed the door in my face. I was defeated. I was angry. I was tired. I missed Selena. Why can't they believe me? Especially Selena.
I drove to the airport and texted Drew.
I would never kiss another girl if I was loving another. No one wants to believe me. I'm leaving.
I hopped on the plane and sat down. I didn't care if the paparazzi were taking tons photos. All I was thinking about was Selena. How could she not believe me? What was wrong with her? What was wrong with everyone going against me?
My phone started to ring. I looked at the caller ID. It was Gabriella. I didn't care about her anymore. I never really did actually. I was furious. She was the one who made this all worse. They were already mad at me for Rose. Now Selena's worst enemy?
I was confused, angry and missing someone all at the same time. I felt really bad that Selena had to go through all of this. She never deserved this. I didn't mean for it to happen.
My phone rang again. This time, it was Drew.
"What do you want?" I demanded. "You don't believe me fine."
"Joey?" Selena's soft voice came up.
"Selena? Why are you calling me?" I asked.
"I know you didn't mean it," she began. "I'm sorry."
"No, it's okay, Selena! It's just hard when your own blood doesn't believe you."
"I understand. Why are you leaving so early?" she asked.
"Everyone hates me and I have the tour to finish," I responded. "I'm sorry I didn't get to say good-bye."
"It's okay. I understand you'll just get the mean comments again. I'm sorry they were mean to you. They were just over-protective of me..." Selena sighed.
"I guess..."
"Well, I just wanted to call and apologize for them and to say good luck on your tour," she said.
"Thanks," I smiled.
"Alright, bye."
"Bye." I hung up and laid back. She always made me smile. One of the special things about her. I wish this tour would end soon. I didn't want to hurt Selena more than I already had. Because it also hurt me.
Chapter 39: Taylor Austin for Taylor Swiss
Joey was such a jerk for kissing too many girls when he knew that Selena loved him. What was wrong with him?
"Hey, you okay?" I asked Selena after Joey left.
She just shook her head. "No... something's not right," she frowned.
"He just texted me. He's going back on tour. He's leaving!" Drew announced.
"What?!" Selena asked. "Why?"
"No one would believe him," Drew shrugged.
"Pff of course no one would. I mean, come on, you kiss one girl. Say that they kissed you and now the same thing with the one that's hurt's enemy?" I shook my head.
"Can I talk to him? Please?" Selena asked.
"Sure, here," Drew gave her the phone and she talked to Joey.
"Sorry I have to go," I apologized. "Taylor and I were going to meet up. I'll visit you after."
"That's right! What's going on between you and Taylor?" Selena asked.
"Nothing..." I smiled.
"Aw come on! Spill!" Selena said.
"We aren't even going out."
"You like him don't you?" she raised her eyebrow.
"Yes, no, maybe so..."
"You do!!" Selena laughed.
"I got to go," I smiled and waved. I walked out of the hospital and drove to my destination.

"Hey," Taylor greeted me at the door of Ultimate Family Theater.
"Hey," I smiled.
"How's Selena?" he asked.
"She's doing well..."
"Good," he said as we got in line for tickets and popcorn snacks.
We just talked and moved closer to the register. We were talking about random stuff and we bought our stuff. We had two drinks, two tickets, a movie candy (to share), and a large popcorn bin (to share also).
"You ready?" Taylor smiled at me.
"Y-Yeah." To be honest, Taylor makes me nervous. It's easy talking to him, but when he smiles at me, it made me feel like I was melting into a puddle right there.
Spending time with him... it was magical. He made me feel like I was riding on a cloud. We walked into the movie room and we went on whispering throughout the movie.

"That was really good!" I smiled.
"Yeah it was," Taylor nodded.
We had just finished watching the movie. We threw our trash away and strolled around the movie theater, playing in the arcade. We were taking pictures. Silly or nice ones.
I never had so much fun with Taylor. I couldn't remember the last time I ever had so much fun without Selena.
"Ready to go?" Taylor smiled.
"Yeah, let's go," I nodded and we walked towards the door. Something made me stop in my tracks and look over to my left.
"Wait a minute..." I gasped. "Is that?"
I never finished my sentence because the next thing I knew, I saw the man lean over to kiss the woman next to him. I was heartbroken and gasped.
"Taylor? Taylor??" a distanced voice called.
"Hey, are you alright?" Taylor asked.
"I need to go..." I whispered tears streaming down my face. I took a quick picture of them kissing with my shaky hands.
"Why are you crying, Taylor?" he asked me. "And why did you take a picture of those two people?"
"...That man was my dad," I said slowly.
"Was that woman your mom?"
"No, he's cheating on my mom," I cried.
Chapter 40: Finding the Moment for Taylor Austin
"Ready to go?" I smiled down at her.
"Yeah," she nodded.
I'm Taylor Austin, and I'm fifteen years old. My best friend is Drew Parker. Taylor Swiss and I were at the movie theater and we were having so much fun! I can't remember the last time I had so much fun with someone like Taylor. Taylor was a girl at my school, and she was special. I can tell. I knew right away that she was different. I loved her, but I don't know if she likes me back. She's beautiful, nice... funny....
We walked towards my car, and suddenly, Taylor stops.
"Umm, Taylor?" I asked. "Taylor? Taylor? Taylorr?? Hey are you alright?"
"I need to go..." she turned to me and I saw that she was crying. She quickly took out her phone and snapped a picture.
"Why are you crying, Taylor?" I asked, concerned. "And why did you take a picture of those two people?"
"...That man was my dad," I said slowly.
"Was that woman your mom?"
"No, he's cheating on my mom," she replied, and started crying again.
"Aw, come here," I hugged her close, the scent of perfume found the trail to my nostrils.
"It's not like taking a picture would help, but I got proof," she sobbed.
"Aww, Taylor," I sighed.
That was when I realized that I didn't know anything about Taylor. I just kept quiet. I knew that it wasn't the time to ask about it. She was crying over them. I didn't want to make it worse.
"Can you just take me home?" Taylor asked me.
"Yeah, of course!" I nodded.
We left the theater and left behind Taylor's dad, that never knew that his own daughter had seen it all.

"I need help," I admitted.
"It's Taylor isn't it?" he asked.
"Yeah... I want to help her. I just don't know how..."
"Give her some time," Drew said. "Or you can help her get her mind off of things. Hey! Have you thought of asking her out yet?"
"I don't know," I shrugged.
"You're scared of her saying no?" Drew smiled.
"No! Well, yeah."
"You never know," Drew reminded me.
"What was it like getting rejected by Selena?" I asked out of curiosity.
"Everything goes back to normal, but don't give up."
"Okay, thanks, Drew," I replied.
I wasn't so sure. It felt so weird. I defiantly didn't want to friendship between us to be all awkward...

"Why did you take me here?" Taylor asked.
It's been a few days ever since the incident with her father. This was the day I was waiting and planned out for. We were at Green Bean Garden filled with colorful flowers swaying in the wind. Leaves rusted and branches waved at us.
"You'll see," I smiled.
Taylor sometimes stopped on the way to look at the flowers, but I didn't mind. As long as we were doing something together, I didn't mind. We laughed and talked... basically just hung out like friends. Then we arrived at the fountain. I started getting nervous and anxious. I braced myself for the surprise I had waiting for Taylor. Then, I sat down next to Taylor on the bench in front of the fountain. I smiled.
"Do you like this place?" I asked.
"I love it!" she replied.
"Good," I said, and reached for her hand.
"Taylor, will you be my girlfriend?"
Chapter 41: Drew for Selena
I was excited to finally get out of the hospital. Drew came to help celebrate the occasion.
"Hey!" Drew smiled as I met him in the lobby.
"Hey!" I smiled back. "Geez..."
"Yep," Drew nodded, looking outside. There were cameras and reporters surrounding the outside of the hospital. "Get ready to run."
"On it!" I smiled and we ran out to Drew's car, cameras flashing, and people screaming my name.
"Geez," I breathed in Drew's car.
"I know. Get used to it, Selena. You're famous," he smiled.
I laughed. "Oh I know."
We lost the paparazzi when we did several turns and finally got to my house.
"Selena!" my mom cried and hugged me tight.
"Hi, Mom," I hugged her back.
"Welcome home, hija," she said, and went to the kitchen to prepare lunch.
"Thanks for taking me home," I say to Drew.
"No problem," he replied. "I got to go. See you at school now?"
"Defiantly," I smiled.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"Selena!"
There it was all over again.
"Not again!" I groaned, running from the crowd gaining on me.
Something that I hate about being famous or gaining success, is that everyone is suddenly your friend. Plus, everyone is suddenly the paparazzi, running towards you and chasing you until they are bored of it.
"I hate going to school," I muttered.
I thrush the school doors open and sped walked to my locker. Please let one of the teachers catch them running! I pleaded in my head. Thankfully, the principle did.
"Yes!" I whispered quietly to myself.
"Hey, having fun?" a voice asked behind me.
"Pff, no," I answered.
Drew laughed. "School's going to be over soon."
"Like a few more months," I rolled my eyes.
"You'll get used to it," Drew promised.
"Pf, I sure hope so," I frowned and closed my locker.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
The rest of the day went by, and sometimes, I got swallowed into the crowd of people asking me if I was okay, because apparently, it was all over the news that Selena Gonzales, the one that was caught hanging out with the Joey Parker and Drew Parker. That's what I'm known as apparently. I didn't like that. I'm going to ask Sophie how much longer is that song coming out.
I laid myself down on my bed. I was kind of confused on something. My feelings for everyone.
Joey? I don't really love him anymore. My feelings for him are gone. I guess I just want to be friends...
Cassandra? I don't know anymore. We never really got to hang out a lot. I've been so caught up in the fame business that I didn't pay attention to how she was going.
The Taylors? Nothing really changed. Taylor S. is still my best friend. I'm really happy for her to get someone as special as Taylor!
And lastly? Drew? He's such a great friend, and like a brother to me. The only problem is that I think I feel something more... I feel as if I want to be more than friends.
Chapter 42: New Songs and New Decisions for Selena
"There, what do you think?" Sophie smiled.
"There, what do you think?" Sophie smiled.
"I love it!" I nodded.
Sophie and I were at the studio listening to the new songs that we were going to put together as an album. I was pretty excited. It's been a like... a week since I got out of the hospital. I've been so busy recording songs, and dancing to new music videos. It's been such a busy week.
The only thing that stuck to my mind was Drew.
Drew, Drew, Drew. Everything was about Drew. There was the good feeling... There was the guilt feeling.
I felt guilty for rejecting him that one time because now, I think I love him. I wish I could go back in time and say yes.
I can't believe I said yes to Joey. What did I see differently in Joey that I didn't see in Drew?
I began to realize that Joey wasn't worth my time. Drew defiantly cared for me and loved me. I understand that Joey was busy, but I didn't want to be with him anymore. There was something that Drew had that Joey didn't.
"Alright, it's going on release in a week. Look forward to it!" Sophie said.
"Great! Thank you!" I smiled and left the studio.
"Hello?" I answered my phone.
"Selena?" the voice on the other line asked.
"Yeah?"
"It's Juliana."
"How did you get my number?" I asked, puzzled.
"Oh, Drew gave it to me," she replied.
"Oh."
"Anyways, um... I was just wondering... did you ever love Drew?"
"Uhhh... well, yeah," I answered. Where was this conversation heading?!
"When?"
"Are you going to tell him?"
"No. We're talking as friends okay?" Juli promised.
"Okay. I kinda like him right now," I admitted.
"Really?" Juli gasped. "Hey, what about Joey?"
"I'm over him. It was great and all, but I love Drew," I smiled.
"Aww... Drew's a great guy," she said. "He still loves you!"
"I know, but I don't know how to explain this to him..."
"I got this all figured out," Juli said. "Leave it to me!"
"You're not going to tell him are you?" I asked nervously.
"Of course not. Just let me take care of it," Juli promised.
I wasn't really worried. Juli was a honest person. The only thing I was scared of? Drew not loving me back.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"Selena! How are you doing?" Joey asked.
"Haha, I'm great! How are you and the tour?"
"I'm good, but I miss you, Selena."
"I miss you too, Joey," I smiled.
"I'll be back next month," Joey said. "The tour got shortened."
"Are you serious?!" I groaned.
"Haha, yeah."
"I hate Angie right now," I frowned.
"I know," he said.
Joey and I were video chatting, and I no longer have any reason to run. I did not want to be in the hospital again.
We talked for a little and we hung up.
The doorbell rang. It was Drew.
"Hi," I smiled.
"Hey, want to come with me to the beach, Saturday?" he asked with his hands in his pockets.
"Sure," I nodded.
"Awesome..." he smiled.
"Great..." I said. This was getting really awkward.
"I'll see you tomorrow at school," he broke the silence.
"Yeah, okay. Bye," I said, awkwardly.
I hope that it wasn't going to be as awkward at the beach.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
"We're here!" Drew announced.
"Yay!" I laughed.
"Let's go," Drew smiled as he parked the car.
"Shoot," I muttered to myself as I got out of the car and was instantly getting attention.
"Just go like normal," Drew shrugged.
"You're lucky you have Joey," I groaned.
"And you have me," Drew remarked.
"Yes, I have you," I laughed.
We made our way towards the beach, and ignored the whispering and staring, but Drew knew the right place to go to not be disturbed. We made our way to one of the memories that lay fresh in my head. The spot that we shot the music video, but where Drew and I played in between breaks.
We played in the water all day, and splashed each other. I looked behind us and saw that there was a cabin. It was the one where we spent our breaks. I smiled. I had so many memories made here.
Drew laughed.
"What?" I asked.
He shook his head. "Nothing."
"Come on! Tell me!" I punched him playfully.
"Well... there's just so many memories here," Drew chuckled.
"I know."
"Selena," he smiled. "I'm going to ask this again, but..."
"Uhh... okay..." I said cautious. I was scared of what he would ask.
He took a deep breath. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
Chapter 43: Six Years Later for Joey
"We should do a triple!" Drew suggested.
Taylor A. nodded. "Where shall it take place?"
"That one fancy restaurant and we can perform the new song Drew wrote," I said.
When I came back five years ago, Drew and Selena were together. To be honest, I was hurt. I moved on the year after that. I knew that Selena and Drew fit perfectly. They were like the last pieces of an unfinished puzzle. It doesn't really matter now. I loved someone else.
"Let's practice this," Taylor A. said, placing music in a binder neatly.
Drew, Taylor and I walked over to the fancy restaurant named Dreamer's. We asked if we could have a special performance the coming Friday. Selena was supposed to fly in on that day.
Yes, Selena was famous now. She was an amazing singer, and actress. Drew was famous also. Now the whole world knows that we were twins. Drew was famous for songwriting, singer and actor.
After that meeting, the three of us went over to Drew's and practiced the song performance and the special surprise. I was kind of nervous. We'll just have to wait until Friday.
•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•*¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•.¸¸.•¨¯`*•
The restaurant was filled with people talking. A few people stopped us to take pictures, but I didn't mind. I walked in with my arm on Juliana's waist. I pulled out a chair for her and we ordered dinner.
"So who's idea was this?" Juli asked, eyeing Drew and Taylor.
"All three of us," I smiled.
"Oh," Juli raised her eyebrow.
"Ah, so you don't believe me?" I said.
Juli just laughed. "Of course I believe you."
"Joey, let's go," Drew winked.
"Where are you boys going?" Selena asked from the left of me.
"You'll see," Taylor A. waved to us.
We walked up the stage and I grabbed the microphone.
"Hello?" I said. "I'm Joey, this is Drew. And this is our friend Taylor. The three of us are going to perform a song. We would like to dedicate this song to the three girls in the back."
We started to play. I caught Juli's eye. She just smiled at me and gave me a thumbs up. When I looked over at Selena, she was tearing up a little. Taylor? She was dancing... kind of.
After the song, it was time. I nodded over at the others.
"Ready?" I smiled, hands shaking. They nodded.
We walked over to the girls and got them up.
"I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you," the three of us said in unison, holding our girls' hand.
The next step was the hard part. We bent down on one knee and the girls gasped. They knew what was coming. We shot each other a look and dug into our pockets.
"Will you marry me?"
Epilogue
Selena
~~~~~
Taylor, Juli and I were standing together in white wedding gowns. We all congratulated each other for what felt like the millionth time. We all just couldn't stop smiling. It was going to be such a magical day.
"Hey!" Cassandra smiled, looking as beautiful as ever in a light pink dress.
"Cassandra! You made it!" Taylor hugged her.
"Of course! Wouldn't miss it for the world!"
We all took our places as we walked down the aisle, towards the boys. I smile as I take a quick glance at the beauty of the place. Then, I was aside of Drew.
Drew
~~~~
"Can you believe it?" I chuckled.
"Nope," Joey shook his head.
"This is what we were waiting for."
"Yep," he sighed. "Selena's perfect for you."
"Juli does it to you too?" I teased.
Joey rolled his eyes. Then, the piano music came on. I watched as Lily, the bridesmaids, then the brides walked in. First Taylor, then Selena. Last was Juli. Selena looked beautiful in a white gown. We smiled at each other and look at the priest. We listened and answered to the priest when the famous question came up.
"I do," we all answered at once.
"You may kiss the bride."
I pulled Selena in, and kissed her.
